    Well, Remembrance Day (I'm assuming it's the same as Veterans' Day over your way) is supposed to celebrate the end of the war---the peace, not the fighting itself. Hence the whole eleventh minute/hour/day/month business.

    If I recall correctly, lactose-intolerance is fairly common in people of Asian descent, although I cannot remember whether this was genetic or because there isn't normally much milk in the usual diets of people in the region. That could be the cause of this.

    This is because fat, in men, tends to accumulate around the abdomen (ie. near the organs), while in women it tends to accumulate around the waist.

    Only by mass. If you use molar quantities, it is 2/3 hydrogen.


    With regards to the waste part---you just need to keep the water hot enough to remain gaseous, which may be (I haven't done the calculations, so I'm not sure) easier at high altitudes. Combustion of hydrocarbons produces water too, remember.

    But if you've got root access, you could bypass the software anyway. This shouldn't help malware at all.

    These sorts of calculators can't replace actual maths knowledge, though. A graphics calculator can't find exact stationary points for

    y = 4sinx + 9
    or solve a system of linear equations without all of the coefficients given.

    Actually, my understanding was that the majority of us are descended from the non-convict settlers who came as a result of the promise of free travel/land. But I live in a non-convict state, so I could be wrong about the general population.

    That's not always true. If there is a shortage of teachers or nurses, then it is in the national interest for more people to study education or nursing (which is why they're listed as national priorities over here, attracting the lowest tuition fees).

    It would work in some cases, I suppose. If you're going for a short trip (ie. <= 300km), then it would work, but where I live (where the closest capital city is 650km away, the biggest 1150km away, and the furthest 2150km away) it's not really practical.

    That said, if you're supposed to arrive two hours early where you live, I can understand your motivation (it's 45 minutes here, and security takes only as long as it takes to pull all of the metal stuff out of your pockets and drop it on the X-ray machine). That said, I can't really judge without experiencing airlines out your way for myself.

    While it is only one study, this suggests that mobile phones are capable of interfering with GPS receivers.

    Most people don't like having a two-hour or more flight turn into an all-day trip (note, Australian here. It's a long way between capitals).

    You can in Australia. I'm planning on starting EE/CS next year; it only takes five years (vs. four for EE by itself), so it will probably be somewhat difficult, but it's definitely possible.

    If it's anything like Australian law, then there is Fair Dealing, which is somewhat analogous to Fair Use. My understanding, however, is that the issue at hand is that of Moral Rights, the non-transferrable right to a) demand attribution, and b) not have the work mutilated.
