Did you bother to listen to the video? In it, how long it can fly, PURPOSE of the test, use of the parachute and the crash test dummy.... all explained.
WiFi only, have no need for a bunch of 3G data plans.. Use a 4G Hotspot for all my toys... Verizon CDMA no voice call dropouts because the Hotspot is not a phone. Want to connect 1 device, 3 up to 5 (never needed to do that yet). Up to 16Mbps down using LTE... but do have to watch the quota. Use my phone way too much for voice when I need data for tethering it. Have even teathred my phone to it to get 4G instead of just the EVDO 3G the phone has. Rare occurrence.
If this is really worried about this...Why are you storing any email on a 3rd party server? As new email arrives, save it to your local computer, removing it from the inbox. No email is then left to become 180 days old. Nothing to worry about. Actually that is not true since you most likely will be worrying about something else then too, but...
Why pay for a WWAN connection for your netbook when you can either use your phone as a tether or if you need it a lot, use a MiFi like device. MiFi can work for many devices without being specifically tied to a specific item.
I can just imagine a network of these in Phoenix Arizona on a typical +100F day.... they would be plucking heat stroke victims out of the sky. You could make a reality TV show on that alone.... Shweeb Rescue Network.
I would think that the title insurance the purchaser of the house would have obtained would cover this. It is supposed to ensure that the title is clean and was transferred above board. No title insurance, then the purchaser of the house who clear title is now in doubt would be the loser.
Don't need a physical keyboard.
Got to play with a live Moto Droid for a 4 days... the only time I used the slide out keyboard was when I first setup the phone (it made me use it). After than, I never used it. It added weight and complexity that were unnecessary.
Didn't buy the Droid for 2 reasons. Physical keyboard and weight I didn't need, and no real voice command via BT for making calls.
I would suppose that book publishers would love to prevent the reuse of their products too. The number of books passed on to others is most likely much much higher.
Funny how Verizon blocks the GPS chip in many of their phones with the statement that they are protecting their customers Privacy from 3rd party applications which might exploit their location, yet they give out my private information to anybody who gives them a buck.

Thought the article got posted on the wrong date...

Except that you didn't need to have a LinkedIn account to receive one of these gems.
I would much rather opt in for stuff I am interested in with Opt Out being the default.
Why should a consumer need to opt out of something they didn't ask for.

I would concur.... If he wants just a GPS this is easily the better way to go. Great battery life, built in maps. etc...
That is Exactly what it is.... no big deal. If you don't want them, remove them. They are easily removed using any directory manager like Astro.

I'd tell him that you will trade for a private office which has a door on it.

So give it to journalspace ... they don't seem to have problems losing data on hard drives.
A better comparison would be the same move released both formats. Then the issue isn't the movie but rather the formats.
