  2. Randomly generated password for every site on Ask Slashdot: What's Holding Up Single Sign-On? · · Score: 1

Use a password wallet. I use a random password for almost every site. One gets broken into, they have no idea what the password is to the other.

A decent wallet can sync to more than one location (like phone)... use a good base password.

Starting to see more 2 Factor Authentication which is even better.

I had no real issues getting into a Nexus 7 box. Certainly a lot less of a hassle than a lot of those plastic containers that a lot of products come with that need to be open with a knife and torn apart.

Saw the unboxing videos and thought it was actually pretty funny.

I will note however, that opening the Amazon Kindle Fire box was one of the easiest I've ever done though.

As for the comment "In fact, I'd say the fact that the slashdot response to this has been so stereotypical -- a witchhunt, and very quick to label this guy as a religious nut with dangerous delusions and now a sore loser --, rather justifies his decision, even at the risk of a Streisand Effect (which his opponent was very quick to pursue)."

It is hard to come to any conclusion when the tape of the actual debate has been censored. If the tape is published, then we can see for ourselves what happened and make a more educated guess..

  15. Simple Password Management on Ask Slashdot: How To Securely Share Passwords? · · Score: 1

In this day and age, keeping track of accounts and passwords is a bit more complex than before. You should have different passwords and even account names for each account if possible and they should be secure passwords. There is other information like what the "secret" questions were which in some cases are hard even for you to remember what you replied with.

Using an password wallet (I use B-folders), allows you to keep track of these things with a master access password which makes it easy to do, but a lot more secure and portable than writing them down on paper.

Providing your Lawyer with information on how to obtain that access password along with other legal paperwork you need to pass along should make it easy to do what you are asking.

If you make it too complicated, you simply won't do it... so use a tool that you yourself can use at the same time and there is no big deal about it.

GB made some changes to the phone (Droid Incredible) but certainly was not needed or necessary and I certainly don't expect ICS for it though I am sure I will be able to get a ROM after it is available for it if I wanted to.

Phone is getting older... will most likely just upgrade to a newer phone anyway.. Faster, more memory etc.. (looking a HTC Rezound) It doesn't come with ICS either, but will get it.
