kind of has the same functionality as the linux app released a while back...
what i don't understand is why some people are going wild about having 1gb of online storage space...
if you wanted to you could email yourself 1gb of files split into 10mb chunks and your files would still be online and you wouldn't be violating google's tos...
all m$ needs to do is come out with "internet explorer 7" change nothing except the version # and add some new sexy icons, and they'll be back in favor with the "average user"
it's always nice to read these books to see what exploits are availabe and what locks sould be avoided... remember seeing a hope 2k lock picking presentation in which a lock that was supposedly unpickable was defeaded with a moded key and some tape... so it's always good to stay on the up and up...
the article talks about how it's a music service... wouldn't all the xm stations be available to the subscriber??? i'd be more interested in the service for the news stations and talk radio...

you should be a little more mature and try and seperate the man drom the corporation (m$)... so he wants his name on the building. wouldn't you? if it was only about having his name on something he could use his massive amounts of cash to have his name engraved on the moon...
as long as the technology can't be used by pervs to find kids that are alone... the technology is more of a threat than an aide for groups if it isn't implemented properly...
finding loopholes in this type of system isn't something that you can afford to do after it's been widely put into use.
i can see the point of redhat but xp has no programming tools built in (not even a damn c compiler) unless you consider notepad a programming tool...
REAL HACKERS CODE IN BINARY
if office follows ie and users start to consider other alternatives (*cough* *firefox* *cough*) such as oo.org due to things like viruses i'm sure we'll see the gloves come off very quickly and m$ will litigate and try to take oo.org down.
more and more homes than ever are networked and if wireless bandwidth or fiber to the curb ever reach the/. crowds desires i don't think we'll be getting our lazy selves over to bl0ckbuster to rent pieces of worthless plastic that need to be brought back the next day...
if sony is smart they will think more in terms of codecs and compression than plastic (actually paper) and blue rays..
a nice clean site but most people who are currenltly using google will unlikely be compelled to "switch" (would you really be switching?) same results with some extra bells and whistles...
looks like the market is being flooded with low profile displays... to the lamen all these technologies are one and the same "flat panels" meaning price will be a major factor in driving most peoples choices.
i certainly look foreward to some price deflation and being able to wallpaper my walls with oleds...
if m$ wants to "compete" and regain their amazing foothold on the market what they should seriously consider doing is making ie open source...
the masses are slowly beginning to see that over time open source software is a better choice as problems are quickly reported and fixed...

i think terrorists are looking to do a little more than annoy people by messing with their dial tone...
they just need to right click and choose 'empty recycle bin'
