    Technically it's on on-site hosting. The data is not stored in Amazon's cloud. The CIA is using Amazon's servers on-site.

    What market regulation. There isn't any fucking market regulation. Community in Kentucky passes a law to make it easier for broadband service to service the area - AT&T sues the community to prevent competition.

    Yes it means exactly that. What you are trying to say is that not all competitors are equally matched.

    Telecom is anything but a capital intensive business. The last vestige of significant cost to telecoms was copper lines. They have nearly eliminated them Cell service is the giant cash cows for them.

    What needs to happen is Verizon and AT&T (ne SBC) need to be broken up again.

    It's simple really. If you took the money and hired more teachers to reduce class room size, increased teacher pay to attract and retain the best and brightest, and provided the necessary study aids to help students, you would see student performance improve. Private schools already use this formula and do very well. Public schools that use this formula do very well. It's the poorer school districts that have to cut their budgets, layoff teachers, and increase class room size that have issues.

    Bottom line: It's the school budget dummy.

  22. They are not saying it's a matter of decades from now when it will blow. It about how long it took for magma to move into the system until an eruption. The current study says decades, versus a previous study of another volcano that said millenniums.

    There's still debate about about pinning down "the precise trigger of the last Yellowstone event."
