The program stays open on the system tray bar and you can have it startup automatically. There are options in there to turn on memory shield(scans for any spyware that pops up in memory) and cookie shield to remove tracking cookies. And whenever they get updates a message will pop up on the screen asking if you want to download the new updates which the whole process takes like a minute.

Def. a good product and I hope that helps answer your question..

Spybot and AdAware are good but i broke down *gasp* and paid for spysweep. I like it because you can have it run all the time so if spy aware does pop in your system, it'll tell you. They also have regular updates and automatically remove those annoying tracking cookies for you. For a 30 spot (25 in cotsco), i dont think you can go wrong..

I'm with you brother. I don't take medicines unless I absolutely have to. All those side effects and what not I don't need. If i do have a fever or have a serious headache from allergies, then I'll take one tylenol. I had to take antibiotics though twice in a year for strep throat. Before that though I can't even remember the last time I was on them.

One thing to that's underestimated is washing ones hand on a regular basis. I wash my hands before very meal and after everytime I use the bathroom. Sounds like common sense but you be amazed at the people who don't do it and all the stuff you touch in public places along the way.....

spy ware/virus arent nearly as much as a threat on windows but one area that does concern me are tracking cookies/cache. on the windows side, sometimes when i surf a trojan would appear on my machine located in the cache folder. i wonder if they have the power to install some kind of tracker like that in linux?

kazaa is spyware. as i bonehead mistake i've install kazaa and infected my pc with spyware up the wazoo. one problem is your right no one including myself reads the eula. the other problem, if you uninstall kazaa, everything should be uninstalled with it, no left over junk case closed but that does not appear to happen

on a diff note, even though its a commercial program, i recommend spy sweep. its a good product for only 30 bucks. you can have it run in the background so it can pick up spyware for you in real time and it deletes by itself all the tracking cookies thay may appear. there are regular updates for it and i notice it does a little better job than the freeware ones..

Let me first say that I'm independent and have no problems voting for a 3rd party candidate, if for nothing else to show that a change needs to be made in the political system. Looking on your site, I see you recommend to cut on federal spending and regulation to help secure a sound economy. By doing so, won't there be a risk of mal-business practices, such as those seen in the early 1900's when work conditions and wages were poor? And while i do agree federal spending needs to be cut, isn't some of it good? Finally, as quoted from your site "One study estimated that the death toll from regulations that do more harm than good cost 60,000 American lives each year!" What proof do you have to justify claims like these and where can i look up those studies? Doesn't it sound a little far fetched that many people die from the very regulations use to protect and that so many new jobs woul be created from cutting out regulation.
