..is there any way for someone in America using a US credit card to buy songs from a foreign iTunes store? I haven't really looked into it myself (mainly because I'm too lazy to install iTunes and take a look:P).
With so many mentions of Trillian and GAIM, I'd just like to point out the third alternative (that was actually around before either of the aforementioned products): Miranda-IM
It's free/oss software, Windows only (unfortunately), and has more plugins than either GAIM or Trillian. Not only can you do the basic stuff (plugins for new protocols and such), you can also entirely replace the interface with one of the many plugins. There's even a plugin that adds PHP as a scripting language.
While it's not the easiest program to get started with (there's a ton of options, even more if you have a lot of plugins installed), once you've got it configured to your liking there's simply no comparison (in my opinion, anyway).
Minimal, fast, native controls, open source. I'd highly recommend checking it out.
I can't imagine how mad the MLB and IOC would be about that. Somehow I expect fair sports to be obsolete soon (if not already) with such enhancement.
A couple of years ago there was a short lived show on CBS called Century City. It was about a law firm in Los Angeles, circa 2030. The second episode of the series dealed with this exact issue, a baseball played drafted into the MLB with a bionic eye, and his fight to justify his ability to play if the bionic eye was kept at a level equal to that of a normal human.
Or he might want to check out m0n0wall. It not only has the aforementioned feature, but much more. Traffic shaping/prioritizing, wireless support, along with everything you'd expect a router to have, and more. Not only that, the entire operating system fits onto a 16mb compact flash card, runs off a CD using a floppy disk for settings, or simply runs off a standard hard drive. I'd highly recommend it.
What's useful about something that gets larger when it gets hotter? Just because an application can't be thought of today doesn't mean something is useless, it just means we haven't thought of a need for it.
Oh yeah.. Counter-Strike was totally killed, I mean no one plays that game anymore.
Those bastards, how dare they assume anything. Who are they to just assume I have a $200 videocard in my machine? Why can't I play this game with 64mb of RAM? Who're they to just assume I even own a computer? The sons of bitches.
McCain envisions erecting physical checkpoints, dubbed "screening points," near subways,... and any other "critical infrastructure" facility deemed vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
I know they have good sandwiches, but are they really a target for terrorist activity? I just can't see Osama Bin Laden blowing up my local Subway with a 747.
Yes I have infact, for the last ten or so years. I've driven out of state overnight plenty of times, and I have the common sense to pull over when I get tired enough that I feel it impairs my ability to drive.
..but shouldn't it be the drivers responsibility to stay awake while driving? If you're tired enough that you need a camera to watch your eye movement to make sure you aren't falling asleep, should you really be driving?
If you can't even draw......then how the hell are you going to create realistic 3D meshes?
I can barely draw a stick figure on paper, yet I can create extremely complex images in Photoshop in just a few hours. I'm not entirely sure why really, it just sort of turned out that way. Might have something to do with my handwriting looking like that of a 3rd grader.
Most people who buy Shuttle's do so because they frequently goto LAN parties and don't wanna bring all of their shit. Laptops aren't the solution to this problem, because most integrated video solutions on laptops are.. lacking, and that's saying it nicely.
Instead of outright jamming cellphones, I propose a new feature for cellphones. This feature, when it detects a signal on a certain frequency, would automatically put the cellphone into silent/vibrate mode. When the cellphone no longer detects the signal, it'll go back to standard ringing mode. This would, in my opinion, keep almost everyone happy. You wouldn't be annoyed by ringing cellphones, and everyone would stll get their calls, as well as be able to make emergency calls.
This seems easy to impliment in my opinion, we'd just need a law that states that all cellphones sold in the US need this feature. Then theaters, resturants, concert halls, churches, etc.. would just need to buy 'cell-silencers' that emit a signal telling the phones to go silent.
Ugh.. Next time I'll click preview and actually try the link; it seems they block 3rd party sites from downloading torrents via direct links. Here's a link that'll work:

You'll need to register, but there are seeds.
Is there any way around this? Perhaps using an iTunes gift certifigate purchased by someone in the country that you're wishing to buy songs from?
I've got a few friends who might be willing to do that for me, once a Japanese iTunes comes along.

And just who are you going to complain to if there is a bunch of GPL'd code? :)

Is there a Windows port?

..leaving a sinking ship.
It was probably running Windows XP and some bloated voting software that used 10mb per ballot cast, and they only gave it a 40gig drive. :)

Not very long until 1.3.37!

They must be having a hard time translating US English into British English.

I used this to download the scans a few days ago, I'm pretty sure this won't get slashdotted.
Don't judge someone unless you know them. My debt consists of medical bills from my childs heart condition.
A million bucks might not buy as much as it used to, but it could certainly do me a lot of good.
With a million dollars, I could easily pay off all my debt, buy a new house, pay off both of my cars, and put my children through college.
And still have enough left over to live comfortably.
