This is just a crude way of stating that Trump is essentially "Putin's bitch".
If either one or both of them were female, similar crude statements could have been made without any homosexual connection. As it stands though, both are male and thus such a crude statement requires describing a sexual act between two males.
Labeling this as homophobic is nothing more than trying to find a justification for wanting to punish Colbert. There are plenty of statements disdainful of homosexuals uttered on TV that are much clearer and cruder, including statements by Trump.
Yes. I have an RSS reader in Chrome that tracks about two dozen RSS feeds that I use multiple times each day. I don't know anything that comes even close to RSS for uncluttered and highly targeted news delivery. I love RSS for all the same reasons marketeers hate it.
I whose mind did the idea to sign a contract in any way make any sense at all?
Either the hacker had to give away his complete identity in a contract that isn't legally binding (because... you know... the extortion part of the contract), or the studio had to sign a contract that is not enforcable by the hacker without giving away his complete identity (and once again, is not legally binding in any way).
Or maybe Netflix was like; "The first 10 episodes and not the final 3 episodes of the season? Wow, we couldn't have planned this any better ourselves!".
We have this discussion every single year. The fact that we have this same discussion every single year should tell you that COBOL is probably going to be around for another year. See you next year.
If my daddy is a billionaire and I inherit his billions, does that make me a winner? His daddy was a winner, Donald is just lucky. Do you understand his idiot sons will also become billionaires? Will that make them winners in your eyes?
Though I'd love to believe this is true, promising something you want to believe is the easiest marketing scam of all. I've worked enough with Indian developers to know that although the percentage of incompetents is high, it is not close to 95% Automata, the tool used for this, is a commercial job interview assessment tool. This company benefits greatly from making it appear that most hiring candidates are unfit for the job; it creates a need for their product.
Sure. But don't go asking for anybody's help if somebody steals your private property. And don't be a whiny bitch and try to take it back either; it's their private property now.
p.s. do you understand taxes pay for the concept of "legal right" to exist at all? Without taxes, there would be nobody to defend your legal right.
As the temperature rises, the volume of air increases. Either the air is expanding outwards and/or pressure increases. If the case is the latter; the sky IS falling!
Agreed. I think "intent" also has the benefit of covering cases not explicitely stated in the laws. It helps prevent abuse of loopholes. The problem with "intent" is that it's not always 100% perfectly clear whether something is legal.
The bigger problem specifically in this situation is that laws are written based on how they are to be interpreted; switching is impossible without rewriting the bulk of laws.
getting rid of the garbage collection
Why would that be the chief thing to drop if you had infinite performance? The only big problem with garbage collection IS performance.
Green LED's indicate my readyness to be interrupted; I have no need for them.
The price of red LED's is about to skyrocket.
Agreed.

He's probably getting promoted to "Senior Body Cam Educator".
Once again; power corrupts.
"Planning" to hire 10.000 employees.
Just like I'm "Planning" to be a billionaire by the end of the year.

DRM gone? Not if the powers that be (...lobbying and bribing politicians) have anything to say about it.
A signed contract with an extortionist... WTF?

They voted somebody in office who's ass-fucking their country, and they enjoy watching him do it... doesn't that make them cuckolds?

Same here.
Maybe they should have spent some of that $67 million on marketing.
Right don't come from government, but legal rights, by definition, do.

This is why I love Slashdot!
I think you missed the keyword "excessive" in GP's post.
"Excessive" being the amount where it starts to affect people other than just yourself.
On the scale of humanity there's normal people, sociopaths, psychopaths, then a large gap, then finally marketeers.

No it can't be fixed.
Humans could fix it.
Sadly, capitalists are in power.
The one backed by the vast majority of scientist trained in the subject matter.
