What is the point? I've tried hard. I've been intelligent. The world isn't made for that. IMO, society's attitude is: "If you don't fit the cookie cutter, wearing trendy clothing and drinking starbucks coffee, then fuck you." So I wake up every morning, and make a conscious effort to dumb myself down simply so I can put up with this world. Ah, how fucked up the world is... that is a whole 'nother rant.

I realize this is kind of off-topic, and mostly pointless, but with my bad karma most of Slashdot shouldn't have to read it anyways. I'll go be depressed somewhere else now...
At least they know how to use a spelling and grammar checker, and don't have their caps lock on permenant on, unlike that nice Afghani widow that needs my help to get her dead husbands money out of the coutry.

I've sat and easily downloaded over 6GB a day for for or five days just in linux isos and other misc programs (none pirated). Although, I will condede that most people don't sit and download 6GB of linux isos in a day.
I must also add, I host a website for a friend where he stores his gameplay videos, so factor in 5 or 10 200+ MB downloads a day, and you've got quite a large amount of bandwidth used completely legit.
Luckily, my ISP is quite nice about it. As long as I am not going over 90GB a month on a regular basis, they will not cap my connection.
I will concede that most people are not hosting their own websites on their broadband box, though.

Slashdot! and I can have it load tested at the same time!" This probably wasn't something planned out beforehand.

- Update my site so there are affiliate & donation systems so I keep making money. - Continue to post requested updates to my clients website, for more money. - Have it update crontab to run scripts so that my bills are paid. - Have my server post "GNAA" posts to Slashdot at random. - Have it post random articles from Slashdot onto my own website. - Have it randomly change the CSS file for my website to diffirent colour schemes, so it looks updated. - Have it update my system with critical security patches regulary. - Have it log into Yahoo, Aim and MSN at random and talk with my friends. - Have it arm my alarm system, and call the police in the event it goes off. - Have it randomly turn lights on & off, so my house looks lived in. - Have it automatically encrypt my porn archives. (Not delete, don't want to lose them in the event it accidentially goes off.:)) - Have it randomly log into forums I frequent and post short, ambigous replies. - Call up some people I really hate, and call them an asshole, at random times in the evening, every day of the week. - And finally, call into work dead.
That should be about it... I had some more but with my horrible memory forgot them...

No problem for me to notice if I get lots of traffic to my site. My hard-drive is so loud I can hear a user accessing my site from the other end of the house...
Also wanted to add that I was pleasantly suprised to find the site running PHP and Apache, rather than IIS and ASP.NET, like the Liberals and Conservatives. The NDP appear to use some sort of content management system, with most of the site being static, the server reports Apache with PHP installed.

I never stated you were that paranoid, you just assumed that. I was pointing out that even with GPG your still not 100% safe.
