Mod me down, do whatever you want, just because I'm not impressed every time Google jumps.
Part of the goodness of Google is how simple it is.
I'm sorry but I don't associate a compass with local searches, The word Local is much better, I can read 10 links in the same time it takes to move the mouse over 1 icon to figure out what it does.
It's just a script-trick. Yes it's fun, yes it's good looking, no it's not accessable or bandwidth friendly. It's not even that well coded.
This is just another stupid trick but because it's Google it gets press attention?
Frankly, that's kind of silly. There are a lot more cutting edge things floating around out there than images that resize when you roll over them.
Most computers won't boot from a USB device, maybe not most factory-fresh ones but most out in every day circulation. And those in public settings often have this feature dissabled in the [password protected] system configuration. Still stands tho, CDs are a butt load cheaper than USB keys, even RW disks,
Actually they have proactivly developed new thingys;)
I'd like to note that the average 3Ghz PC can do MORE than the eqivalant of a 10Ghz 5Mhz 8086. Don't forget that it's not just your CPU doing math now days, it's that fancy $400 super-computer rivaling video card you've got too.
BHOs are a FEATURE Oh their not a hole or a bug, no no my friends, they were the careful planning of MS. They're what allow for many great applications out there in the real world, applications that companies use on Intranets all the time. They also allow for re-branding something MS' major partners love. No their not a hole their a money grubbing annoyance.
Basicaly a BHO really is a HELPER just, they aint helping you. Unless you're one of the few people who uses a corporate Intranet that requires one.
How could you possibly calculate that, it's never happend before! Oh yeah the LAST time our whole civilization was wiped out was only 300 whatever years ago. This is stupid
The confusion here is that the average/.er doesn't know that a SmartCard is not a SmartMedia Card.
A SmartCard is NOT for holding pictures of your cat. It's primarily for identity verification. See SmartCard
A SmartMedia Card IS for storing pictures of your cat or whatever else you might have. This is the large card that goes in SOME digital cameras. SmartMedia is a trademark of Toshiba. It is a flash memory format Please see SmartMedia
Oh funny I have no problem scheduling jobs on Windows... oh look it's doing it right now. Windows has a scheduler and a plethora of scripting agents and yes you can run things as other users.
Do you somehow think that spelling it with a Z makes you cool? You're a moron. I mean U R A m0r0n.
And if you knew anything about Modern versions of Windows you'd know it IS multi user. Ever heard of terminal services? Funny cause we have 80 people using one windows machine via clients and they can't view each others files let alone change them. You're a fucking twit. A poorly set up Linux machine will suffer the same horrors as this using grep and cat, and don't even try and argue that it doesn't come poorly set up because most distros do. Windows works WELL as a multi user OS when used properly, Heck there is a company in town here with 300 yes that's 300 not 30 people using one machine as a terminal server and it works fantastic.
Am I advocating windows? I mean w1nd0z3... No I'm not, I'm a huge fan of Linux I'm just admittedly opposed to your blanket statement casting ignorance. Best of luck finishing high school with that attitude I hope 11th grade is better for you than this one is.
I tried in Mozzy 1.7.3 and the thing did't work, yeah it captured what I wrote in the other window but since I couldn't see what I was writing I wouldn't keep typing... It's not like someone is going to say "Oh I can't see my username it must still be working"
That's a good point however I don't know that a small SCSI device would be needed, most small formfactor machines are single user and at best doing video capture which SATA is great for, a 2.5" SATA drive would make for some nice DVR applications.
But really 3.5" drives fit in a 1U just fine and you can fit a good number of them in the right case too. With the size of today's drives unless you're a total media whore you probably don't need more than 1 or 2 drives even mid size ones.
Not that it doesn't have a certain cool factor. I think that they would be good in certain applications but not most. Most applications requiering small drives don't require the added benifits of SCSI and 2.5" IDE drives are cheap and common and pretty fast too.
Most web servers and even busy corporate mail servers don't need huge hard drives or access times either, if you do need these things chances are you're not too poor to spring for 3U of rack space down at the provider, it's generaly not that much money and you probably want more than 1 expansion card anyways.
yet another way for my friends to sign me up for spam, like those stupid e-cards or birthday reminders. Just enter your friends and well send them an email about this... along with viagra ads. It's so rude to put anyone else's email into a website (other than webmail I suppose)
It doesn't need to be unified but it does need to be standard, that way we're all on the same page, which cuts a lot of redundancy out of writing consumer level books and tutorials. That will help Linux move into the desktop. When someone says it should look like this it should, rather than the author having to give 10 examples of how it might look and finishing with "Check your documentation" at that point novice users put it down and go buy Windows.
I also think that by having a grossly popular desktop more gifted developers can focus on more than one project, rather than having to worry about being a GTK or QT expert they can just learn whatever everyone is using and there by make software easier, that's the number one reason Windows even took off in the first place. This would mean when someone makes a good calculator we can call it calculator and not gtkalc or Kalculator or something. I'm not saying variety doesn't have it's merit but standardization has huge merits aswell

Quite possibly code re-coded. Ie it was obfuscated after the fact. Obfuscated might be a bad word, smallized might be a better one. ;)
Boo-erns Boo-erns

You elected em, you should trust them to watch out for you right?
Duh, Because JAXA is powered by Java.
Wow we should ban IRC along with P2P aswell! Oh why not ban real time network communications too?
Actually they have proactivly developed new thingys ;)

1. Build Cyclotron
2. ???
3. Profit!
No, but for some reason we will have to buy a license from sco...
MS probably hired a 3rd party company to do the sound files and they are probably responsible for this.

No it's not a good Multi user OS but it is.
That was posted on behalf of a friend of mine, not myself. I personaly don't have any windows servers let alone one with terminal services running.

A well set up system doesn't let you read other user's files. Even a well set up Win2k or XP machine won't let you do that.

The Trolltech license model is confusing and vauge and bothers me to no end.
