God, you're stupid. Judging from your "thought provoking" quote, the Supreme Court simply said that if you urge the users of your program to copyright infringement, you're guilty of crime, too. This is not a new concept by far (the exact [legal] term used escapes me, though): if you urge a person to kill someone (or commit some other crime), you will be guilty of crime, too.
What, like all the DC++ hubs with 5000 online users stating "this site is for friends and family only" or "This hub is provided as a public service for the purpose of chat and 'legal' file exchange"?
I wonder how old these images are, though. The satellite pictures of Moscow were reportedly from 1997 (some guy recognised his house, under construction at that time); if the ones of Iraq are just as old, you might actually have a chance at finding something.
That's not the reason why outsourcing call centers to India is so cheap. The real reason is your horrible (ie nonexistant) sense of humour that all the people calling you for support simply could not take. All the people in India, however, have a great sense of humour, making it a pleasure to go through the tedious troubleshooting process with them. There are so many qualified call center employees living there that the competition keeps the prices way down.

And they still are. Just because they're not flinging stones (or bombs) at each other it doesn't mean that they're one big happy family (no matter how much they pretend to be one).

Things have most certainly changed. For one, the world's no longer black and white -- we can all see everything in colour now:p
Seriously, though, changes don't happen at as fast a pace as you may believe that they do. Especially when they concern the whole society (or the whole bloody world). The English still don't get along with the French too well, just like they haven't gotten along ever since when. Not even the Channel Tunnel has changed that. They will still not be getting along 50 years from now -- and neither will there be peace in the Middle East (unless the whole place is levelled).
Haven't you heard? The Internet only has two years left before it will collapse under its own weight. 50 years from now, they will be using pigeons to transfer packets! No wonder that it's so slow then.

The Globalisation was already happening then. Had been for centuries, actually. The difference being that back then, it was called colonisation (or Imperialism, if you may). The Cold War? Yeah, is if the world today is much different. The Internet? That might be the biggest news of these three. But it hasn't made the world that much different (neither will hovercars). Mutants? World peace? No change of this scale is ever going to take place in just 50 years.
Naah. It's not because Apple is failing. It's because desktops themselves are failing. Already, laptops are outselling desktop computers. Other mobile computing devices are becoming increasingly popular as well.
Buy a Nokia 3310. It's cheap, you can take and receive calls with it, it has a phone book. And a vibrating alert. Or is there something else that you'd want a phone to do?
Because of their vanity. They're all so very vain, just like the Remarkable Rocket. But vanity is a sin, as God doesn't like vanity (he's rather full of himself, that God). Fireworks die, because God kills them for their sins.
Whether you like it or not, this silly meme is a part of Slashdot culture. That's enough a reason for someone to post a story about the AYB meme turning five.
but it doesn't mean that it's morally OK for them to do it
And they will care about your concept of morality (or mine, for that matter) because...?
there *is* not even a law in China that would require censorship of words such as "democracy".
Another regime that looks good on paper, doesn't it? Except that the written laws do not necessarily hold in some (quite many) countries. The constitution of the Soviet Union, for instance (i'm quoting the 1936 Constitution), states that In conformity with the interests of the working people, and in order to strengthen the socialist system, the citizens of the U.S.S.R. are guaranteed by law:
freedom of speech;
freedom of the press;
freedom of assembly, including the holding of mass meetings;
freedom of street processions and demonstrations. Except that, well, they weren't.
"Two berries" was in reference to the picture in the first article (linked in the blurb). Photos of berris (or similar) and black and white pictures is something an amateur will take if he fancies himself a good photographer, for black and white pictures are "artsy" (I know this, because i've been there myself).

Google = 2D; Vplanet = 3D. Assuming that D is a positive integer, 3D > 2D.
Cue flames at Rolly-boy and his blog...
I was not surprised at all to find the rooftops of the White House and nearby buildings masked.

And yet you still found time for surfing porn sites and FP-ing? Sir, you are an inspiration to all of us.
The poster is probably a Linux fanbox and assumes that, had the computer been running any other operating sytem, it couldn't have done it.
...it still doesn't mean it will be a good movie. WTG for helping their marketing departement, though.

It's not bad design, it's early 2k-s retro look.

Just like the Open Source community bashes Microsoft, yet is, at the same time, assimilating features of Windows and other Microsoft products?

Damn, man, you're so fucking clever! How come then that you're not leading a revolution in a third world country or something?
Who writes the laws then?
