What the fuck!! You do know that heat is fungii's best friend, don't you? Plus, you have probably been exposed to the aspergillus for quite a long time, and it stayed inside your lungs for a good while, kept "hostage" by your immune system. You've probably gotten sick/stressed, and the immune system got weak and the aspergillus was free to do its damage.
Feel free to do your own google research about "aspergillosis". I hope I'm on the right track!
I was discussing a little bit about your issue with my sister (since we're both studying biomedicine), and she raised up a question: have you checked for any sort of fungii? We're thinking about some sort of Aspergillus here, maybe Aspergillus fumigatus. It might be just a stupid guess or something far from what you have, but at this point nothing matters if you at least have a clue to follow.
This kind of technology is not only useful in helping you wear your computer, which seems to be today's fetiche of every geek. Although that is, indeed, attractive, let us think for a while about the advantages of being able to have such small conductors. For example, we can have super computers that are roughly the same size of today's desktops.
Imagine a beowulf cluster of nanocomputers inside your ATX case, and then you'll see what's a really good fetiche. It might even run Longhorn with Doom 3 and Duke Nukem Forever on dual monitors!
They don't have to... twisting information in their favour has been enough for a good while. For the common investor, what Ballmer says is much more interesting than some guy's studies.
Well, I actually do have that problem, but it's not as bad as it is for some (taking from 5 to 10 seconds to fix itself). For me, it takes 1 or 2 seconds max, and it doesn't happen all the time. But when it does, it's a pain in the ass.
I used to have that with Doom 3, but lowering quality/resolution would fix it, which doesn't cut it on HL2. I used to have that with Counter Strike Source too, and wondered what was wrong.
Well, I believe that in the end those messages did a good thing. Of course, their mechanism was to scare the soldiers and say they would be spared if they just didn't fight. But isn't it a good thing at least those soldiers knew they had another option instead of fighting?
Still, I can't ignore the fact that the message in the end was something like "Surrender yourself to your new overlords". But that doesn't change the fact that people were spared.
Well, all companies now rely on FUD to stop people from pirating their products, so that BS is nothing new.
Now, something strange IMO: "... possession and distribution of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...is theft" - What, buying and selling the legal copy is theft too? Oh no, everybody run away and tell mommy mom!!
Oh, and according to the Troll EULA, I agree with your message.
... 5 minutes after turning on the car, it would rev to the max but it would run at only 40km/h, until you found out your car was exploited by some script kiddie.
But that would be because of the third party radio you're using.
Yeah, it's really funny how people invest so much money on piracy protections to help them make more money when they could invest that same money on making better tech, and making much more money.
Should I invest on making piracy harder or on making technology better? Tough choice...
Pretty much. Since tech and science are already something we see in our daily lives, SF became more of an "alternate reality" than a guess of the future.
There plan of attack should include attempting to make a superior product. It will get harder and harder for them with an inferior product as they are now finding out.
What? They don't have to, they never had to... there's something called "marketing", where you try to convince your clients that you have the solution. It works all the time, doesn't it? AOL still has users...
There's no fun in visiting white castles or ikea stores, since common people can do that as well. Stuff like this is that lets us brag about how "geek" we are.
If there will come a day when, to get a job, you'll have to create and patent some sort of platform.. so that you are the only person who can leggaly create software using that platform
And be smashed by all those juggernauts that own the most adopted platforms. More like we will all have to pay big companies large sums to create software for those platforms, like people already do when creating software for game consoles.
made me think out loud, "why does a 12 year old have/need a cell phone???"
The issue here is not the fact that preteen girls have cellphones, but the fact that parents actually give their children one. And they only do so because they like the idea of tracking down their children wherever they are, anytime, while using the cellphone to do so. But, of course, they usually don't consider that kids that young don't have the responsibility to use it.
I've already seen 8 year old girls with cellphones. Have you tried asking kids in a classroom how many have cellphones and what they use it for? I pity the cellphone companies for storing so many useless sms messages.
Exactly. The only "choice" they have is Windows. But thing is, the casual user doesn't want to choose, he wants a cheap solution that works. If all of the computer he had offered to him use Windows, then so be it.
But, If suddently Linux became the OS they are forced to use, we would have the exact same problems. That's the point I want to make.
i think that windows should be banned from internet
More like users that don't have a clue. Why are we blaming the OS when the problem is the user that doesn't know how to patch his system (or doesn't care) or just doesn't even think that the little cute gator saving passwords for him isn't a "friendly program" but a spyware?
If we decide to move all those users from Windows to Linux, you'll see loads of boxes being rooted because they never run "emerge -uH world" or anything like that because "it just works - why tweak a machine when it already does the job?".
Ok, then someone comes and tells me "Linux is safer out of the box". Yes, it even is. But all it needs it a user with no clue to make it unsafe.

Surely you mean semi-conductors...?
Yes, indeed. My bad. But still, this tech is one step forward to what I described on my parent post.

Aluminum foil hats won't protect us then: they'll only make sure our brains are tasty after they're fried.
3. If you want to do it, download a demo of "The Political Machine" and pick your favorite side. That works for me.
That game is unrealistic. There are no Diebold voting machines on it.
The whole country will fall apart if the same happens to lawyers! Anyway, if doctors make mistakes in India, I guess you need a lawyer from there?
Oh noes, justice outsourcing!
... voyeurs that want to take high quality pics of women they'll never get to talk with :(

Yeah right. Usually, people give other people underwears and sockets for birthday. If you're lucky, you'll get a copy of Tomb Raider.
Get ready to pay for HL2 with your own money. Best greek gift ever!

Can OpenGL ever match DX in popularity among developers?
One word: portability

What about that friendly cute walligator that offered himself to store my passwords for me late this moring?
