    I don't run Ubuntu. I don't quite like it. I do however recommend it to my friends/family who want to experience Linux and have only used Windows so far. It's by far the easiest and most complete distro available to newbies. And if you want more (or less, depends how you look at it) you use Fedora or Debian.

    Just take Windows vs Linux as an example. Everyone knows Windows is less of a security risk. It gets hacked less often, has the least amount of exploits and as a bonus even runs faster and more stable!

    I just learned that Google earns 500m on typos alone. Wikipedia is full of typos (and incorrect 'facts', but that's another issue). The 2m is just a "thank you".

    I'm running Fedora (12) and with the rpmfusion(-nonfree*) repository added, i don't need to run nvidia's installer. I just update my entire system, including the nvidia driver. If you're fed up by your way of updating, give Fedora a chance.
