that reminds me of something interesting that happened up here in canada.
two guys took their cars out on the 4-lane hiway near here, took up both east-bound lanes, driving exactly on the speed limit all the way for 67 miles.
they were arrested for obstructing traffic. and they were clocked at exactly 66 miles/hour (the speed limit on that highway)
i agree. i have seriously hated spammers since that incident last year when my sister (10 at the time) got massively spammed with several varities of XXX spam along with the "enlarge your equipment" ones.
the person who bought the rights to the music and software?
if the case of music, since usually in the contract, the music company becomes the artist of the music, so they hold the copyright until they go out of bussiness and for 50-75 years after that.
this is f'ed up. you people down there need to start banning corproate contributions in political campains.
i don't see why it couldn't be run with P2P networking. you get the show for cheap (pennies), and in exchange, you distibute it along with everyone else.
it would cut the server costs (and savings could be passed on to the buyer, though that would never happen with today executives..) and give lots of bandwidth available.
just exactly how much power do you think you can feed through one of those tags before they fry? the antennas of most insects are bigger than the ones on RFID tags.
RFID tags have a VERY limited range. a few feet at most. to scan someone, you would have to be nearly touching them. you couldn't wardrive for narcotics, like one poster mentioned.
the tags are only on the large bottles that pharmicies get. the kind that has about 1000 or so pills in it. that is about 33 perscripions. so $0.50/33= $0.0001.
ok, so many people have probally said this already, but, what the heck?
LEGO!!!!!!
i still build stuff with it. it's fun and something to keep my hands busy when there isn't a computer available and there's nothing good on TV(which is almost 24 hours a day)
how about in addition to the jail time, then the public service thing. i am ver much against spam. it is a real nusicne to me. and i'm particularly pissed since my little sister (12) got an "enlarge you shlong" spam. GIMMIE A 2x4 THEN LEMME AT EM!
i was mean "local" as in the local, small bands. they tickets cost $7-$10. high school bands, really. but they are good ones. there are a lot of crappy ones about, but there are good ones around here.
it takes 10-15 min to drive to the concerts as i live out of town.
these are real bands IMO. they do it as they love to make music, not for the money. (which many don't find if they go that route anyway *cough*RIAA bands*cough*)
well, i haven't bought a CD from a store in over 2 years. main reason is, a already have all the music i want for now. there hasn't been a new cd from any of the bigger-name bands i like, i support local bands by going to their consert, and buy their CDs. also i can find a better place for $22 to go, like to buying a new game or a good book.
some advice, if you smoke, make your own smokes. they don't contain all the "bonus" chemicals in factory made ones (cyinide, ammonnia, etc.) and it's cheaper even.
then light up all you want. just do it far away from me.
good point. but it seems to me, most of the people i know who drive can't componsate for the things you mentioned, so there wouldn't be a whole lot of differance.
plus, the car manufacturers wouldn't get sued by the idiot behind the wheel because they tried to park a 10 foot car in an 8 foot parking spot, as canada is statisticly alot less sue-happy and the "i'm-too-stupid-to-live" defence holds less water

the news in this is, that stupid people just figured this out!
amazing. +2 insightful for this.....

SUE THEM INTO THE GROUND AND THEN KEEP GOING!
already done!

that 12.625 GBps. lots fast still.
that's my entire hard drive moved in 10 seconds!
still, thats 12.625 GBps. it's still plenty fast.
that's my entire hard drive moved in 10 seconds.
i was fairly certain that they used hydrogen/anti-hydrogen for the warp core.
damn, if only the library hadn't discarded the star trek encyclopedia.

it would have to work on the reverse of E=MC^2 equalsion.
so, yah, it would take a lot of power. star trek solved that problem with anti-matter/matter power.
though that makes me wonder, why do they need deuterium then? that would be more likely used in fusion power, as it is an isotope of hydogen.
Tea, Japanese Green, Chilled, With Ginsing and Honey
so.....
you must drive a cruise ship (the Queen Mary 2 uses 1 gallon of diesel to move 10 feet IIRC) to get that kind of milage!
a rod is 16.5 feet.
40*16.5 = 1/8 of a mile.
so that is 8 hogsheads of gas per mile.
a hogshead is 54 or 63 gallons, depending on which one you use.
that comes to 432-504 gallons per mile.
hm? i still have some green lego.......
see? my cat just ate some!
*sees cat lying dead*

what you seem to be missing, is the fact that the goverment want it to be associated with patriotism.

explain to me why is it that you think that the average american is sane?
the average person is an idiot.
half of all people are below average.
scared yet?
