    Fly it in using what exactly? A pumper truck weighs in at 20+ tonnes. There's no helicopter that will lift that much. Not the Tarhe (9T), not the Chinook (12.7T), not even the Super Stallion (14.5T).

    Yeah, the university does not allow access through those. It can only be accessed through the university's single sign in system, thus the reason why the universities are being sued, not google.

    The universities in question switched their systems over to google apps, which does not provide suitable access for the blind, therefore, the universities are being sued over it under the Americans with Disabilites Act.

    Satellite has data caps and overage charges that make Bell look generous (e.g. 500MB/day, 20GB/month). You're also looking at 1000ms+ latency.

    New York State : 128,403 square km 19.3 million people
    California : 423,970 square km 37.2 million people

    Smaller, way more dense, yet you still can't get a decent internet connection.

    But nevermind that, I'm sure your ISPs are working as hard as they can.

    It's throttling back and charging for some traffic. AT&T's own uverse video on demand service is not subject to this cap and you can bet they will extend that same benefit to any partners who pay them money.

    A 60W incandesent replaced with a 16W CFL will make up that 1.6KW extra power used to make it in the first 36 hours of use.

    Saskatchewan is a little odd in this respect. Physically, the line between mountain time and central time goes through the province or the province is entirely in mountain time, depending on who's drawing the lines (as you can see here). The government decided back in the 60s to have the entire province on Central time. This has the result of having most/all of the province on DST all year.

    Shutting down the reactor doesn't cause the reactor to go cold instantly. It stays hot for several days after the reaction stops and coolant needs to be kept flowing during that time.

    There are two good reasons for ethanol in fuel.

    1. boosts octane rating, allowing lower-grade cuts of gasoline to be usable, improving supply. It replaces previous additives like tetraethyl lead and MTBE.
    2. adds oxygen to the fuel, which helps cut down carbon monoxide emissions, which cause smog.

    Nope. Sugarcane ethanol gives you about 8x as much energy out as you put in (source). sugar beets are almost as good and can be grown anywhere in the US.

    Maybe it is because that is widely believed despite being completely counter to reality. According to the ESA, the average age of videogame players is 34 and only 20% are under 18.
