yeah, but it's what popped into my head when i saw the blurb on slashdot. i always laugh when these "experts" can't explain something they think they have a really good handle on.
every other organization using "leap" and/or "a" and/or "head" in their slogans will have to change? I seem to remember people using slogans in the form of " Inside" were hunted by Intel. Even non-profits with nothing to do with computers had to watch out.
Ya know, this falls under the "using MS across the board is easier" and "do as the nice gov't official says" crap.
and just be be a real troll: MS==BAD. Linux==GOOD.

i would rather have a highly functional UI than a pretty one. (doesnt XP stand for extreamly pretty?)
yeah, yeah. we're doing this for end users, but that doesnt mean we have to create software were beauty superseeds technical excellence.
democracy (which we invade entire contries to push forward in the world) is suppose to be rule by the people. Corporations NEVER (read my lips) represent the needs of the people. And, no, the rich aren't "the people". Yeah, our social values are diverse and mostly religiously based. That's why we vote on issues. We could have alot of good values and ideals to show the world if we could just implement them properly.

please, users, do not rebel against the life microsoft has chosen for us. they have already proved they know best for us. they are dominate leaders in all areas of computing for a reason. if we have to relocate parts of our hands (or any other body parts for that matter) to follow their plan for us, then i say pass the scalpel.
isn't that true in any group? the fringe activists (militants, whatever) are always giving the group a bad rep. be it religious, political, ethnic, education... they always exist.

These people are the type to start with an opinion (provided them by a company) and work to provide evidence to back that opinion. Not very scientific or trustworthy...
there are a couple of problems. One of them stems from the idea legistater in the US has that it can control the global Internet.
The second is the idea that a state's residents need to be taxdc on every kind of purchase no matter where it comes from. Next thing you know you'll have to assess taxes paid on things you bought on vacation in (insert a place you don't live here). States (and federal for that matter) need to work on streamlining their expenses rather that finding more revenue.
High school has long since been about a BASIC education. College is meant for real knowledge that can be used. This has been true for at least has long as I was in high school. High school cannot be seen as a path to job market in itself.
Of course I speak as a technical person. Sure, you can still have a wonderful career in a number of service industries without college.

It's: Romans 1:22 "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools"
