    ON this (and shoot me if you will after I say what I use) WinME box, it rarely swaps stuff out. And the only time it ever does swap out is when I'm using a memory-intensive application.

    In your system.ini (I do not know if this is still valid under XP, so if you use XP, apply this tweak at your own risk) go down to the 386enh section, and add the line "ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1". This will make Windows use all available Physical RAM before using the Swap/page file.

    Also, Windows usually allocates all of the memory to itself, but it doesn't use it until it is needed. You can control this if you tweak your Vcache. You can get info on that here and here

    Also note that Quake 3 only costs $20 as well

    I just bought Quake 3 recently at my local Wal-Mart for $10. Check at your local friendly Wal-Mart to see if they have it that cheap. :)

    Well, I've heard of people who shat themselves while watching scary movies. (j/k) Okay, my dad is allergic to poison ivy, and my dogs will eat just about anything (I'm talking about leftovers...) and I'm not so sure about the whole "Chocolate is poison to dogs" thing.

    To prevent my dad from getting poison ivy again, I shall buy a few sheep. And from those sheep, I will get their .. uhh... wool, and sell it for profit. HA! The easiest way to prevent something and make money at the same time, I IS A GENIOUS! :D

    There is a Windows server, just launch Server.bat, which is located in the cube root directory.

    If it cost 500 million dollars, and 4 years to develop, and retails at about $450,000, don't expect many companies to buy this. I also think that that kind of router is overkill for many.

    Now, if it cost $500 dollars at retail, you can expect many more companies to buy in to such an impressive router. And like vudufixit said: the Mach 3 doesn't do nearly as much.

  20. My review on this excellent game... on Open-Source Cube FPS Game/Engine Updated · · Score: 1

    It runs fine on my PIII 500MHz with 192MB of RAM and WinME, but that's not the point. Some may think it is crappy at first, but at least rftm before you play. Also, this server can be run on a dialup connection (so says the docs). So yeah, it is pretty neat. The new version is far superior to the old version. Better animation, new soundtrack, and other improvments, among other things. If you are looking for a game to waste a few days (or weeks on. ;)) Get this game. :)
