That's the responsibility of the developer, not the publisher. But then again it's Jackass Thompson, of course he's only talking out of his rear end without bothering to do any research. How did that man manage to become a lawyer?
XCircle (also C comes after B). I'm annoyed that the name requires an abbreviation that's not much shorter than the full name and I think MS did that on purpose so the name is written everywhere. XC is much shorter to write or say.
That doesn't matter here. A lot of people will buy the PS3 as a games machine and later look around for HD media and find that if they buy BRDs they can just throw them into the PS3 for now and get a proper player when those are cheaper. Crappy or not, getting it pretty much for free (because you bought the console for games) makes up for a lot. Or would you buy an expensive HDDVD player when your console already plays Bluray?
If the reviewer doesn't have an oppinion on capacity vs. speed he can just tell you the facts on that and you use your own scale. You don't need a review for knowing stats like that, what the review is supposed to cover is what the manufacturer won't tell you, e.g. flaws in the product.
If there's a factor that by itself doesn't have any influence on the quality of the good (e.g. its color) then the review shouldn't assign any weight to it. The reader should know enough whether that's a drawback for him.
NC Soft is a pretty large publisher so they cover a large number of MMOs with their prepaid cards. I don't think I've seen any MMO that's not covered by SOE, NC Soft or Blizzard in stores during the last few months. So the ones with non-CC payment models are in the majority ergo we can put "non-CC payment" on our list of reasonable demands.
Are the prepaid cards really more expensive than the standard subscription price?
At a later date I'd agree with you but currently the big problem of the XC is that it lacks the games to attract buyers in first place. The word needs to reach primarily those who don't own the console yet.
Also I doubt there will be much more available on the XC service that couldn't have been offered on e.g. the PC, the bigger issue will be that E3 demos are usually very incomplete so publishers won't want to release them to the public at large, only to the writers who are smart enough to realize that preview builds aren't final builds.
I've seen prepaid cards both from WoW and NC Soft, together with SOE that should be the majority of the market so by now support for non-CC payment is pretty much standard.
You can't have amazing emotional highs without equally terrorizing emotional lows Blizzard!
Really? Most videogames manage to do that without making you lose hours of progress or even requiring hours of "progress" consisting of the same actions over and over again.

Wouldn't Kutaragi go against J Allard? Or Howard Stringer against Steve Ballmer? Come on, head of a division vs. CEO isn't fair by any means!
Nintendo will announce some accessory for the DS that will add motion-sensitivty to it
You mean Wario Ware Twisted without the game?
"Joystick fondling"? "Shaking your hulamaker"? You can't tell me THAT wasn't intentional.
Explain why Paris Hilton doesn't need an introduction.

(no ataris for us Europeans!)
WTF are you talking about? Of course we had Ataris.

894 US Dollars isn't my definition of "affordable", especially when talking about a freaking TV.

Knock yourself out.
I can't wait but my DS does the job just fine and for much cheaper.
Yes but Google can drop your old page from their index.

Um no? But if procedural sex between space aliens is your thing then you didn't misunderstand.
Of course it will work with wine. Getting drunk and imagining you're playing the game never fails.
You forgot the Pacman phase when your creature is still an eucaryote.

Why would you buy a Mac if you're running Windows on it anyway? Doesn't that defeat the whole point?
Who says the people criticising creation beliefs take these stories seriously?
Yes but then Google should still return only your new address.
I think he means the situation in the future depicted in The Time Machine.
At that point I'd wonder why they'd give you such a weapon if you can't use it for most of the game unless you're using an infinite ammo cheat.
