    i dunno, their main competition now is pretty cheap (free) and they still compete. i hope microsoft says "fine we will just not sell at all or support our products at all in europe anymore".

    you are right, nothing should be killed with any electronic device. in fact i think farmers should have to beat their cattle to death with their fists or we should consider them barbarians. i know now they use the nailgun thing to the cow's brain. well that's not right, the cow had no chance. coward farmer.

    look, either animals are sacred or they are not. we kill them by the thousands every day. does it make you cry extra hard when an animal dies from being hunted? is that worse than the coiuntless pigs and cows we have been killing forever?

    relax. they are just animals. i eat them, you probably eat them, their lives are nothing. whether they live or die has no effect on us. you wouldnt even know about it if you hadnt read it. it only bothers you if you are looking for a reason to be upset. animals are slaughtered in large quantities every day for eatin'. a couple extra hunted for sport means nothing. has been happening forever. being upset about this is like being upset that a character in a video game died. doesnt matter. your life doesnt change.

    you are entitled to things that are not yours at the price you think is fair? i thought the person who owned the item could choose to sell (or even not sell) at any price they wanted. yunno, freedom.

    thats exactly what the border agents told me when i was returning from a road trip to montreal. they looked at my driver's license and said "all you can prove is that you can drive in america, not that you are a citizen."

    however, it appeared they just wanted to make me squirm, because they let me in after i whined a bit. i guess that will change. we probably should all get passports anyways.

    look, if what people allegedly hate and dont hate is such a big issue to you, fine. to me it is rational to want to be entertained. i see nothing "uneducated" about that.

    maybe you gain utility from taking a brave stand against movies written by mormons. i dont care. i have long known that religions are jibberish, and religions make perfectly friendly people think all sort of loco ideas. they are brainwashed, i dont hold it against them. if michael moore or pat robertson made a movie i thought i would enjoy, i would watch it. i am not trying to protest or change the world, just kill an hour and a half at the movies.

    lets say card does hate gays. i hate lots of things too. people can hate whatever they want, why should i mind? christians hate logic, thats just the way it is. most of them are very nice though. we are talking about a movie here, not a contest to see who can be the most indignant about something.

    i wouldnt care if he hated asparagus or republicans or gays (which he doesnt hate anyway), i just want to see a good movie. religions are crazy, everything they believe is crazy. so what. i read ender's game and liked it, so i will see the movie, accused homophobe or not.

    was slashdot always this bad, or is it getting worse? i need to find difference place for my news for nerds. here something is news is if fits the politics of the editors, regardless if it is an obvious fraud. it is incredible that anyone would believe that ss was real. such a low standard to be considered news.

    whats wrong is people who do not recognize that we have more news/information options now than ever before in history, and to criticize crossfire for not being a "real" debate is like calling out a children's soccer game for not being world class. its a cable tv arguing show, not your voter's guide. there are more options than ever, find one you like and stop being pompous.

    the third party version of this, which uses CF cards has been out for a while is much cheaper. also it plays nes roms. it is called gba media player and lik-sang has it for 25 or so.

    what part of "nobody is forcing you to buy anything" is not clear? some things sell for more than you would like. too bad. they arent your items, so you have no right to tell anyone how much they sell for. nobody defines "fair" price except the owner of the item. it is not our right to tell others what their items are worth. they are not our items.

    you say the point is to let the market decide. what is the market comprised of? buyers and sellers. not the government. only the government has the power of corcion. all other decisions were voluntary. thats the free market. why is the government deciding what prices are "fair"? they are an outside force, they make restrictions with laws, something buyers and sellers cannot do to each other. government intervention violates the rights of sellers, who own their products, and therefore can sell them at any price they like, or not sell them at all. why should my tax dollars go to fucking with companies so you can get the prices you want? so again, if the product is too expensive, do not buy it. if other people think the price is ok, then they will buy, why intervene? your attitude: "me wanty cheap stuff!"

    if the prices were so "artificially" high, then why did people buy? and if they own something, who is the government to say how much it should sell for? apparently it wasnt so expensive that people stopped willfully purchasing it. i guess the government hates when people exchange money for goods and services at prices agreed to by both parties. i dont need the tyrannical force of the government taking my tax money to help protect me from paying too much for memory. maybe some other chumps do though. i can decide what costs too much and what doesnt on my own. remember, only the government can force you to purchase something at a price not agreed upon by you. and we are buying frivolous lawsuits.
