"Desktops are under evaluation, but Microsoft lost this chain for sure on the server side."
Linux desktop migration seems to be a more considered option these days. Vista problems and restrictions are likely to drive more small businesses as well as enterprise customers toward Linux desktop adoption.
Too bad you're not getting Comedy Central due to cutting off cable. I can see turning off the cable, except I get all of my news from the Daily Show and the Colbert Report. It's just newsyer than the other fake news (fox, cnn, msnbc, abc, nbc, cbs, etc.) shows you see on the boob tub.
Considering the problems with oil and personal transportation needs, how about building that Jetson's flying car we were all promised we would be driving in the 21st century.
Open like a child safety cap on a prescription bottle or open like as in open to all? I hesitate to think about this too much fearing that my head may explode and make quite a mess of my monitor.
Yes, they are also very responsive to their users. I began using Writely when they first rolled out could I could collaborate with my project leader on a technical paper we were writing for publication in a scientific journal. At the time they did not support OpenOffice, but they responded to an e-mail I sent that it was in the works. A few days later it was added to the supported format list. You can also e-mail your text to create a document.

You asked the question: Isn't this headline a little sensationalist?
I don't see it as such. I guess it is all in how we each read things between the lines, but for me the word works here.
from: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=crippled
tr.v. crippled, crippling, cripples
1. To cause to lose the use of a limb or limbs.
2. To disable, damage, or impair the functioning of: a strike that crippled the factory.
I am trying to understand your point here, but when I go to TFA I see the headline
"Vista firewall shackled due to customer demand: Microsoft"
While the wording was not exact (for obvious reasons) it seems to me to reflect the jest of TFA. Am I missing something here?

I just searched for "Packery Channel" and got this:
No results were found. Try another search, or if entering an address, enter it in the Where box. Click help to learn more.
A search for "Packery Channel" in google nets this:
Results 1 - 10 of about 25,100 for packery channel. (0.08 seconds)
Understanding this is "beta", why is it released now, so uncomplete and virtualy usless?
Will the same search get results if someone searches from a Windows PC?
I'm not running windows, so this is not working for me. Why would AJAX rely on me running windows (not going to happen)?
So I guess if you don't use MS software this in not for you, move along...
