If it is a small paycut, then you can perhaps get more. I have experienced this same several times. Each situation is different. Sometimes you need to follow your feeling, sometimes you need to be rational.
What can help is to make a personal vission and mission statement. Write it down and let others read it and ask them if that is something they recognize you in. Don't leave out your non-work related goals.
If anything, t will help you understand what you actually want and where your priorities are. Then compare that with what you have and what is offerd and it will be easier to decide.
This. Also be honest what you really want. What do you understand is a 'carrer' and why do you want it. Is it because you like to lead (manage) people that you wnat to get hgher up, or that you want the money? Or is it knowledge?Do you plan to have or already have kids? Do you want to be a part of their life, or will you be downgrading when that happens?
What are the downsides for you? e.g. when you are at the bottom, everybody might be your friend, when you get higher up, that will change. Don't expect to be invited by the guys for a beer. And if you invite yourself, you will always be an outsider. You will be always 'the boss', so they will not let themselves go and if they do, what will you do? Fire them or do as if nothing happend?
Do you have the skills to go in the direction you want to go? Not the technical ones, but the social ones. Ask people what kind of a manager you will be and if you will be good at it.
And remember that the grass is always greener at the other side. Also look at the positive parts of where you are now.
These carriers have seen that it reduces theft in the rest of the world. And I mean reduce, not 'completely stop it'. So these companies know it will work and reduce the demand for phones. So why would they be against it? Oh right, money.
That would be good for airplane security. Howver useless for screening and random searches. No, I do not have a alu foil hat. This has NOTHING to do with security in any way. Not even security theater. Note the [...]pushing for private contractors[...] part? Just giving the private sector some business and securing their pension when they get a new job at said companies after they leave the curent function.
The U.S. and Japan managed to get over the whole World War II thing,
Are they really over it? Japan never had an issue with it. Never botherd them what they did in e.g. China. And the Americans still go on how I should be thankfull, because otherwise I would be speaking German. I do speak German (and several other languages) and the other alies don't bother me about that. (Thanks to ALL who helped, including later enemies.)
So I would say that was the worst example as people being 'over it'.
It is nice if people keep saying things about what is written in the constitution. The constitution is a nice thing for discussion, but it is meaningless, unless people decide to act on it.
Ever heard that guns do not kill people, but people do? Well: The Constitution does not give you any rights, people do. Those people could even give you those rights without the constitution or they can take it away with it, or do whatever they please.
Wherever my boss asks me to do overtime, I do so and get payed 150%. So my boss sees to it that overtime is not needed. If I do not take all my holidays, I will loose almost all the money that I would get as payed holiday, so I don't do that. This means he needs to hire 3 people if he wants to get 120 hours of work in instead of 2.
The people who do overtime (managers, directors) are compensated for it.
Oh yeah, I have three unions I can choose from (that I know of) and my boss doesn't care if I am in a union, neither is anybody else.
O yeah number two. I work in Belgium, Europe.
I soon am expecting relieve programs to give money to the poor people of America. All this time, there are some filthy rich people. Look at the Wealth Inequality in America.
Changing passwords on a regular basis is great if you only have one or two passwords to change. That and the fact that you often have no influence on the login name. At one company I had the following logins (Assuming my name is John Doe and I work at FooBar Inc.) johnd jdoe john jdfoobar foobar jodoe jdoe2 That company also had different time moments I needed to change my password as well as different length passwords.
My method now is to take a standard 4 letter word (Not a dirty one) and capitalize it, like Work. I then add the year in two digits and the month. So my password is now Work1302. I can not actually use "Work", due to qwerty-azerty issues, but you get my drift. I then change all my passwords the first of the month at work.
So because I must change all passwords every so often, I go for easier passwords.
I believe that people concerned with security do not count in ALL factors. Human behavior is a HUGE one. As long as you keep forgetting that, you will fail.
Also look at how many time goes into your IT department because people forgot their password. If there would be an as high failure rate on anything else, it would mean it wasn't working. The problem is not the people, the problem is the system.
Another way to look at it: if changing passwords adds to security, why not change it every day?
I also think that passwords make may people complacent towards security. I have seen at several companies where security went almost out the window, because it was logged and secured by a password. Even when you mention that the complete C*O meeting minutes where available online and for ALL to read, no change as it was behind a logged and password safe environment (it wasn't).
Passwords are not a good solution, I think. I just do not know what a better one would be that will give you access to all that you need, including external sites.
Hey, I am sure that IF the suits had worked, they would have said that they would not want to wear them anymore, because of the unfair advantage they would be getting. Right?
There is a technical reason for that. The same reason for the area code 212. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A...:
To save time for its operators given the rotary dialing technology of the time, the North American Numbering Plan Administrator and Bell System tried to keep the number of "clicks" to a minimum for larger cities.
If people ask what my sign is, I always tell them : Elephant. For those who ask further and/or realize there is no such a sign (not even with a Chinese one) I say "Why not? I have a trunk!"
One time people said they were really serious about Astrology. The type of person who was constantly telling "Typical [insert sign]". So I challenged them to tell me my sign. They needed 12 guesses. Let that sink in. 12!
Palm-reading is on the same level. I witnessed a palm-reading once in Turkey. I was baffled as to why people would believe the person reading the palm. I did not understand, not because of the image you have in your head. This was not some Turkish Gypsy old woman. This was one of our own group of 18-22 year olds Western Europeans with good education. Not only that. He upfront told everybody he did NOT believe in hand-reading. He told he NEVER read a palm. He knew nothing about it. He upfront told that he would make stuff up and be very generic. He even gave examples UPFRONT. He took the hand, looked at it, put on a serious face and started making things up about past, present and future. Various people believed him, including the person whose hand was read. They still believed what he told was true after he told them several times that he made it up.
A last one: when you have the opportunity to read other people their horoscope, ask them their sign and read out a different one (yours). Next ask them how precise it is. Say you do not believe and say you will read another one (theirs) and say it is yours. Ask them if they think that is also correct. Now you can tell that it was not true. One flaw with this is that you could have a 1/12 chance that you have the same sign. Cheaters would pick some random sign, but what it means is that you found your true soul partner.
The problem with video is that many people forget one very important step: editing. Another step is preparation. Just look at many unboxing videos. TV blaring in the background. Turn that off. If something goes wrong (e.g. you cat walks over your keyboard) start over. If I want to see cat videos, I am sure there will be one or two available on youtube. Don't say "I hope you can see this." and then drag the box out of focus or out of the field of view. This is not live feed. Start over till you get it right. Oh? That takes a lot of time? Welcome to the world of video. And also why writing is much better for transferring ideas between people who are not in direct contact.
With writing we have learned in school to edit before we submit our homework. With video, professionals do the same thing, but it just takes up much more time.
What is often overseen that the manager ALSO has a job and that is weirly enough to manage his staff. This is not the same as to monitor or even to command or overlook.
The manager gets the job and it is said that he is now the manager of department Foo. However the targets seldom reflect this. Instead of getting targets about managing, he gets targets about productivity. Often THEY are micro-managed as well.
Some just become managers, because it is time and often they are completely wrong for the function. The best managers I had were those who had the least idea about how I did things. Those would be looking HOW to get answers I was seeking. From customers, departments or other sources. That way I did what I was good at and he did what he was good at.
The worst were those that had a much better knowledge and said 'I will do it myself.' They did not spend any time managing. I was unable to learn how to do it myself, so I was wasting company time as well.
If it is a small paycut, then you can perhaps get more. I have experienced this same several times. Each situation is different. Sometimes you need to follow your feeling, sometimes you need to be rational.

This is between companies, so the laws are differently, or at least interpreted differently.
Now try that with a company on one side and an individual on the other side. Now switch sides.
Logic would say that there would be no differnce. The reality would be differnt.
Still not as impressive as the Great Recession where so much money was stolen, people are afraid to call it theft.
What he is actualy saying is that to become a citizen, you need to do your part.

Court Says Craigslist Sperm Donor Must Pay Child Support. So that is not a real option. So if you are male, you are out of luck.
Having kids as a male is a bit like the beta slashdot version. You are fucked and have no influence on the outcome.
Please do tell about previous times when this was not the case.
There are some cases, but those are exceptions and often still pretty violent.
