Yes, there will be exceptions. That is a fact of life. Some would have been better of with another system. Also the current debt per student is on average 27.000USD. That is a LOT of money if the outcome of a job is not so sure. Not only will you have no job, but you will have no job AND a debt of 27.000USD that puts a disadvatage over people who just have no job.
And even when you get a job, you need to pay back that loan and that will put many people into a situation where they can not afford healthcare. Nice way to make people slaves.
What we need is just a law passed where people in debt are no longer allowed to vote as they are not contributing to society.

I was thinking along the same lines. If you have 20TB you should already have a NAS. So buy a second NAS and mirror it. Cost of a QNAP os about 1000 EUR and 8x4TB=1200EUR. So for 2200EUR you have 32TB available. Those including Belgian taxes and I have not even searched for prices. If you 'only' want 20TB and no way to grow, you are ready with 5x4TB + 5tray for 1550EUR. (all prices via alternate.be if you want to verify. Cheaper IS possible.)
Those two parties are inside a box. Even the whole govenement system is inside the box. Perhaps people need to start thinking outside the box. If you do that every 200-250 years, you are still way below average. If the type of governement you have does not work, perhaps the type of governement doesn't work for you and it needs to be changed. Perhaps a system where the majprity has all the power is not a good enough system as it lays too much importance on the power.
To me politics is not just doing what the one majoority wants, but try to find what the REAL majority wants. Instead of doing something where it is 50% is happy (e.g one part memmbers) you can get to something where 60% or even 70% is happy. Perhaos not all of your party, but still some of the other party.

The problem is that security is a social problem that is being solved by technical solutions. On the social part is also that people are not able to remember 174 logins and seperate passwords and remember the new passwords every month. That 174 is a total ransom number. I am sure if I look at how many websites I have a login and password, that number is easily reached.
So people will look for a way to still be able to reach that website or do their work. They will find easier passwords. Write them down. Use the same login and password for different systems.
A password reminder program is not a solution, as I am not allowed to install programs on my work PC. I will also not have access to it all the time.
Living in Europe with the Euro, so prices are easy to compare. When I visited Munich, I had heard that Munich was an expensive city to live and I thought the beer prices were indeed very high as they were almost double as what I would pay where I live.

This makes it safer for everybody, although when new staff arrives I tell them that the public PC is not something I would do any banking on, because I have NO idea how safe it realy is and it is THEIR fault if somebody robs their bank by using a public PC.
Also up front explanation that company mail may not be used for personal use. As the Intenetcmputers are available (obviously seperated from the rest of the network. They even have a seperate internet connection.) there is no excuse to do that.
What I hate is companies who focus on people looking at porn. Why is watching 4 minutes of porn worse then 4 hours of BBC news? One giggled perhaps a bit and the other did not work for half a day. To me the second is way worse.
As good as mandatory vacinations would be, there will be people who would make this political. This because it isn't about what is right, but about not letting the other get what they want.
Depending on the distro, some things I really need might already be there. So installing or checking if it is installed are the same to me. I often have no idea if it is default or my selection.
The first I will always install or at least check is mc Espercially for a new install, I think it is easier then using cd, ls and what not as I will be going around a lot and copy files from other places. vim will be already installed and so will be others, like bash, apt or yast or other software to install.
On the GUI I will always go for XFCE and add the plugins. I use the NVidea drivers on my 4 screens that run not in xinerama.
Then mplayer and a gui for it. Last in the top of things I will check or install is yad as I have several scripts that depend on it.
I will then copy my scripts and run them one by one to see what is missing.

Even if it is a website I visit each and every day, I do not need an app for one specific website. Provide me wth a rss feed and mobile friendly layout and I am good to go. Many others would not even need a rss feed. Just a different CSS when a mobile app is loaded and I am good to go.
At home I just do my banking via a website. Why would I need an app on my phone? Why not the same website? They already have that developed. They already have people working on that. It works on multiple platforms. Just use that.

Companies do not like change and competition.
