The only measure which has successfully prevented a terrorist attack since the '01 hijackings is the increased vigilance and response of the flying public.
How many hijacks have been prevented by the public since '01?
I only give my personal phone to selected people in my company. That would be my boss and with the explicit notice that it is a private number and should only be used in case of emergencies.
If they want me to have a device to connect to their system, they should provide me with one. Just like I expect them to provide a desk and a chair to sit on. Then it is theirs and they can do with it as they please and at the end of employment, they will get it back.
Most likely it is for listening to radio and music. 2-3 years ago I bought a new car radio that reads SD cards, CD roms, (wav, mp3 and ogg). Connecting USB devices is no problem and I also have Bluetooth. Oh and the traffic anouncements. This costs me 110EUR. I even got a remote to use it, which is silly, as stretching my arm is easier then finding the remote.
So what did I not get: Touchscreen. Not really missing that. In fact I like the buttons, so I can 'feel' where I am pressing while driving. No Internet. Not really an issue either. No GPS. That is about the only thing I miss, so I had to buy that extra for 150EUR with a European wide map.
So moneywise, the PC that I would build myself should be no more expensive then say 300 EUR and be able to do all that I have now AND fit in the same space I have the radio now.
Reminds me of this Rorschach test. "What do you see here?" "People having sex." "And this one?" People having sex" "And the next one?" "The same". You seem to have a very dirty mind? - Me? You are the one showing me all those dirty images!
I would then need to carry at least three with me. I know people who would need more than that. So unless there is some way to centralize this and everybody agrees on what to use, this will be a burden, not a blessing.
I already dislike it with online banking. I am now able to do things online only at home, as I do not want to carry it around with me and risk of loosing it.
The problem is that you did not give them a reason NOT to send others a letter. You still wasted money (or your layer wasted time) on their false threat and they did not loose anything, except the time to print and mail the letter.
And no, I have no idea how to get out of this, because the one with the most money wins.
Where are the pictures where we see Michelle, Malia An and Natasha being fondled by these people.
This all happening sickens me and yet I am not surprised. The staff just do as they are ordered. People do if their nose bleeds and just nicely follow whatever the leader says.
Stop talking about the second amendment, start using it. The wackos are not that wrong in their fear of a new world order. They just could never imagine that it would be their own people and that in a few years the UN will need to come and rescue them. Not the other way around.
Unfortunately the answer to that question is cattle. But perhaps this is just one step too far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-jdDE6bFow and many more when you search for TS videos.
Just forward them to as many people as possible to raise awareness. Just pick one you like, think is funny or any other reason.
Each business will have so many different things going on that it is unpossible to answer the question.
I would ask THEM as much what they would expect. Even get one or two key users involved, so they can sell your idea to the rest, because people do not like change. An internal person will be of big value, especially if that is not one of the managers.
And if you have many images and video, I assume also they will love desktop estate, so two screens or even three. Hardware? If we have no idea what it is used for, how can we answer? Setting up the system is the easy part. Who is going to maintain and upgrade it and how? What if that person doesn't do it anymore?
What is the software they are going to use and what does that software need? Does every person in that company has the same need. What will be the needs in three years?
There are so many unanswered questions that answering them is impossible.
Please do not use the "think of the children" defense. It is as bad as the "think of the terrorists" excuse they are using.
I am of legal age. I do not want to be felt up by a stranger. That should be enough to NOT do it. No need to use children as an excuse to stop something that is bad.
The effects are pretty well known. However they are seldom uniquely TV ads. You have a whole campaign, including TV ads. There also is product placement in the stores, magazine ads, viral and a whole lot more.

Their device, their rules. My device, my rules.
Want to save money? Stop buying bottled water and start drinking tap water.

Cellphone docks? Are they still being installed? Buy a new phone and you need to reinstall it. Just use Bluetooth.

How high on the scale? If no arousal is 0 and watching pr0n is 100, where does it stand?

And your government waits for approval from all others?

It is not theft. It is copyright infringement.
It is not as if these companies suddenly are unable to use that information anymore.
That is dead since 2003. Since then it is called SUSE. That is 7 years. Seven years. And still people give it an old and outdated name.

Boring? Just booting it with all the Tux images (one per core) would be sooo coool.

Please do not use this type of chilling humor.
If we have the original link, perhaps we can cause a bit of Streisand effect.
So you learned that money is important, not the fact if you like to do something. I feel sorry for you.
To me is just sound like an old soundbite they have been using for years: "This is not a bug, it is a feature." They just use different words.
People are great at recognizing faces. Computers are great at computing.

Well, to be fair, they cut costs, because their customers want to go with the lowest bidder as well.
if I had the choice between a 5 year well tested portable or a new gimmick.
