I am amazed that police could get a charge just for that. Where I live all they could do is pull you over and then take a breathalyser test, which might be followed by a blood test. Only then can the person be charged.
I could walk on my knees out of a bar, get into my car and drive away all over the road. But unless some medical est has been done, They could not charge me with DUI. Dangerous driving? Sure and even contempt of the police if it was that I was sober and did it to play with them, but not drunk driving.

Now if he does not have a breathaliser test in his car, he could call for a unit and/or take me to the office and call for a doctor tto do a blood test. Only THEN can they charge me of drunk driving. So there must be an objective proof, not a subjective one. The subjective is only enough to pull you over.

During this time of the year there are many controls where they cut of the road (including highways) and check each and every driver. This year drivers who are tested negative in those tests get a code and can win a car.

Corporate Intranets with no budget for upgrades are what keeps IE6 alive.

It is the lack of budget that forced us to think of an intranet that was accesible for all browsers now and in the forseeable future. It also is the reason we go 100% open source.

Obviously some will still be forced to work with IE as their aplications otherwise won't work.

Where I work we use both IE and Firefox as some things we need to do won't work in IE and others won't work in FF. Unfortunatly none of them are things we can deal with directly.

I think that might be going a bit far. What it is testament to is that we're all fed up of shitty pop.

If that would be the case, there would be no reason to point to something else. People would just not vote for it and/or would not buy it.

The fact is that people DO like shitty music. There were times that Abba was considerd shitty music. There are people who call Mozart or Bach shitty music. Or as the Frensh say: Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas.
"Tastes and colours are not argued over."; one does not argue over differences in taste, to each his own.

So to me it is just a testament of the workings of social networks. This was done in the past in Belgium where they 'voted' a pretty rediculous song to the first place of the top 1000 which is broadcasted each year. This happend in 1998 and was mainly done by people forwarding emails.

What I would like to do is to send out the same email, but then ask for e.g. "Child in time." to become first, which is almost always does. Would they then remove it (only played 30 seconds and it was not officially recognised) as well as they did with "Er staat een paard in the gang"? I doubt it.
