Especialy because the original was such an icon, I do not want to see a sequal rape it.
The main reason it was an icon was due to its technical both in story and in way it was brought to the screen. We know better things can be achieved now
So much for spammers being "non-violent" criminals
That should probably be that spam is a non-violent crime. As long as the act of sending Spam results in him killing his family, there is no relation between the two.
Sadly many people who have not commited any crime kill their own family and many spammers don't kill their family.
Because two things happen it doesn't mean they are related. Next you will say that the color of his car is linked to violent crimes.
I am glad you (and others, including the once using IANAL) point this out as it is my understanding that unless specified, you ARE a lawyer and I always take whatever I read online as legal advice.
Can you imagine if we we still had to pay royalties to whatever company bought the rights to Shakespeare's estate every time a school drama club wanted to put on Hamlet?
If that company would be named Disney, I unfortunatly could imagine that very well.
I don't buy the "space alien" story for the simple reason that the "Area 51" aliens look too much like us.
That is the sole reason I DO know it is true. They must clearly also be created to gods image. Fact: $DEITY created the universe Fact: We are created in the image of $DEITY Fact: Aliens and us look alike Ergo: $DEITY created the aliens
This is again proof that Darwin was wrong.
Well, either that or I will make up something else.
I once had to cash a check at the post office. I got about 25-30 retries before they were satisfied that the signature was actualy the same as the one they had to verify against. They even held it up against the glass, so I could copy it.
Once my school said that I falsified my dads signature and they needed confirmation, so I took it home and came back with the same signature on it. The fact that they were two real ones or two fake ones they had no idea of knowing.
People unfortunatly have most of the time no real perception about security. They see it as a hinder
Yes please make them make made make up my own question. High school: I went to several schools in several cities and even countries. Maiden name of my mother: You have no need to know that. You want my data, OK. I am not giving you my parents data as well. I will give you enough data to process. e.g. there is no need most of the times for a phone number. You have my email address and you can mail me.
Many other questions I can sometimes select from are things I have no relation with.
Visa once asked me what my limit was as a test. I did not know the answer. This was just after the change to the EUR and I had no idea how much it was exactly. Also most cards when you apply for them will have only a few possible answers. In Belgium the default is 2500 or 3500 EUR.
1) Build a data center 2) Rent it out 3) Generate Electricity 4) Profit!
So now we know why Google wants all the data of the world running on their servers. They are not competing with Microsoft. They are competing with the oil industry.
Reminds me of Zappa http://downlode.org/Etext/zappa.html [...] I believe it was you who asked the question of Mrs. Gore whether there was any other indication on the album as to the contents. And I would say that a buzzsaw blade between a guy's legs on the album cover is a good indication that it is not for little Johnny.
Usefull? If I can not be disturbed and in a meeting, I either turn off the phone, so it goes directly to voicemail or do not pick it up, beacsue it is in silent mode and you will be tranferd to voicemail.
Perhaps I know best when I do no want or can not be disturbed and not the preson calling me.
And most of the times when I see I missed a call, I just call back instead of listening to my voicemail. Also when I get a voicemail, I get a message, disturbing me during my precious meeting that you did not want to disturb.
I agree. All the rest is forcing somebody to do something YOU like, not what (S)HE likes. This is the same as on how to make a kid interested in sport X, Y or Z.
Why not have AND a mouse AND touchscreen AND a pen that all steer the cursor. That way we can use whatever we like whenever we like and in the best moments. e.g. I use 3 24" screens (1920x1200) and a trackball. There are moments I would love to have a touchscreen. e.g. when I want to go from one side to the other. Then there are moments I would love to have a pen that I can use to draw. Most of the time I am happy with the trackball.
So why not have all of them in the future and more? One does not need to exclude the other. Portables now often have two pointing devices connected at the same time and sometimes 3. The touchpad and a normal mouse are pretty common so I see no reason why the rise of one would mean the death of the other. Instead I see the different devices compleating each other.
some might suggest that some of the DNA used to identify criminals may have impacts on that persons likelihood to turn to crime.
And that will be the reason to have everybody give their DNA at birth. This while it will be an absolute wrong way to determine this. The DNA that is used now is gotten from people who are arrested. The likelyhood of people who have been arrested also being guilty of a criminal act is higher then that of people who are not arrested. So all we can conclude is people with such a gene are more likely to be arrested. There will be more people who have been arrested that are found guilty that we have DNA of then people not arrested who have been found guilty that we have DNA of when looking at percentages. Also we convict people because of this DNA and now it might mean that those people arrested and found guilty are not realy guilty, while the likelyhood of people turning to crime based on DNA is based on the fact that these people are guilty.
If they are not guilty, then one could conclude that people who have this part of the DNA will be arrested and convited more then avareage.
And as long as you do not have a good enough base of non-arrested people, there is no way of knowing this.
That will probably not stop anybody drawing the wrong conclusions though.
The graveyards are full of indispensable men. (Charles de Gaulle)
When management pulls the 'hit by a bus' card, I follow with, 'or on a holiday or just starting to work for the competition'. To them that is much scarier.:-D However that same management still give icritical tasks to one person. That person goes on a holiday for 2 weeks, customer calls and we have NO information in a timely manner.
I always try to have tasks done by teams of at least 3 people. 1 main person, one backup and one backup for the backup. That way one person can go on a holiday, the other person can be sick and there will be still somebody to do the task. Or one person leaves during the holiday of one of the others. No is isn't 100%, but I have been often enough in situations where 1 backup was not enough for various reasons.
Having a third person in the loop is much better then documenting everything. Many precedures change all the time and even when management think it is the ideal way to have everything you know in documents, nobody actualy reads them let alone check them on errors or update them.
This is not just the case with IT, this is true for each and every depertment in almost all of the companies I have worked.
Either they rent it from others or they are maintaining their own servers. Both cost them money. They now have a great excuse to dropt this, keep the money and need nothing to for the customers, because "it's the law".
Each and every CEO will get a hardon if they can stop providing a service that costs them money and not held responsible for it.
openSUSE has warnings in those files NOT to use them and tell you which one you need to use. e.g. for Apaches http.conf it says: # If possible, avoid changes to this file. It then goes on to exlain a lot about what to place where.
There are many other files like that. Another example: # PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE/etc/bash.bashrc There are chances that your changes # will be lost during system upgrades. Instead use/etc/bash.bashrc.local # for your local settings, favourite global aliases, VISUAL and EDITOR # variables, etc...
So if you decide to not read what is in those files and just change them and then do an upgrade, don't be surprised if the system works as intended.
I like also how you use 'almost never', 'tend to work' and 'often'.
Now you will soon know what the Belgian-Brazilian plan actualy is.
