Somebody that high up should know that the majority of the people would understand UFO as "aliens". Just like we know what is understood by whom with "hackers"'.
So the options are: 1) Have a phone that can't be used (not really), so better buy a new one 2) Better buy a new one, because your phone can't be used (not really) 3) Come in and hear that the replacement is so expensive that you better buy a new phone
P@ssw0rd is the safest password know to mankind. I even use it for my luggage. 8 charachters? Check! Not a word? Check! No standard charcater? Check! Upper case? Check! Lower case? Check! Letter? Check! Number? Cherck!
I think it should be used by everybody because it is so safe.
I bet when you look, you will see plenty of company logos on items around you, see billboards and what not. Yes, logos are ads. Even icons with branding are ads I rather see them thank think I don't and absorb them.
Living in Belgium. Doctors are requered to subscribe a cheaper alternative if avalable to keep costs down. When i go to the pharmacist and there is a cheaper alternative, they will explain that a generic is available and cheaper. Next time I saw my doctor I told him and he excused himself that he wrote down the brand name, not the medicine's name. E.g Aspirin instead of whatever is needed.
He so once told me that I should not take an alternative. 10 pills fir a 10 day period. After that I got something else.
Sure it is invasive, but that by itself does not make it illegal. Not even the fact that it is useless. And if it is illegal today, I bet it will be legal tomorrow. Law and morality are not the same.
Did a search and I found free ones and very cheap ons (like 5USD per year) that will be good enough for that. https://www.thoughtco.com/chea... Not looked to far into it yet.
I do not do automated cashout for sever reasons: 1) I would need to have a card, keychain pr something with the bardcode for every store I visit. I am not brand loyal, so I would need about 5 of them 2) It is my small way to keep these people at a job. 3) It is not that much faster.
I will go onto detail and obviously YMMV. I tried it for 2 months at one store and what I measured was the time from storedoor to storedoor. Meaning from the moment I get into the store and leave the stor, including the walking around. This was after trying it out 2 times. Yes, the time at the checkout will be fster, unless you are up for a check. Then it is way slower.
However you need to do the scanning yourself and you lose a bit of time right there. Somebody who does this all day in and out will do this faster, no matter how good you are. Taking out the scanner, turn it, point it and turn it back also takes time. However as you are not standing still and it goes reklatively fast, you will not notice it. OTOH standing at the checkout you e stnding still and you do notice that.
The time lost for weekly shopping came to under 5 minutes. That is 5 minutes a week for keeping somebody else his or her job. Makes me feel good.
What some stores are trying to do is just have less people so they can push people towards the use of them. In Belgium for these stores for you to have a store card is the only way to keep track of your buying habits as they will not have it any other way, regardless if you pay cash, debit or credit cards. And the cards will not know what you bought, just how much and they are not allowed to share the info berween them. The CC company is not even allowed to do an analysis of your type of purchases (e.g. via Internet, in gas stations,...) for marketing purposes. If they do they risk their license to do business.
So for 5 minutes a week is the the only downside. I can live with that. I wasted more typing this.
The cost is rising because they sell more. If your send 2 packages instead of 1 the previous week, your cost has 'risen' 100%. So the cost per item has staid the same. They just want to "understandably" reduce the cost.
And that 'customer concern' is just an added bonus they can add as to why they do it. I reality it is just about money. Not that that is a bad thing.
Perhaps a non-US company should ognore the laws in the US. E.g selling beer to people looking at the age limit in the country of origin. ABInBev would be a nice start
If I would do that I would walk around with 3 devices all the time. Not practicle for me. The strange thing is that there are only two choices. There should be more. Duopoly is not a good thing.
As somebody living in Belgium and having used telegram service, morse has nothing to do with it. What we did was send an email asking them to deliver a telegram. They prited it out and deliverd it, minus the headers and what not. For birthdays you could even buy cards that would go with it it was billed to the phonebill.
Think of it as what you see in mivies where they have to hand over a soupena by hand. The underlaying protocol didnot matter. Sono morse code, but boring TCP/IP.
Just because you sign something does not mean it is legal. In a healthy society you can not sign away your rights. I.e. you can not say you will work for a bowl of rice for the rest of your life.
Where I live if there is something in a contact between employee and employer and it is not according to the intention of the law, employee wins. They can even decide you where not a contractor after all and company has to pay you 13th month, paid holidays and the extra tax going back 10 or more years, even ifyou signed it and did not even start the lawsuit. YMMV. IANAL. HTH. HAND.

So why are there living things that are neither? They are not soap. Just because they developed later does not mean they are better.
No, the people picked him through a process. If you do not like that process, change it.

Stupid socialism.
Name of the drug? I would be happy if he named the country. Israel, Japan and a few countries more are al Asia.
How about this. If you do not like the law, buy your own. --lobying industry

What if these screens are in different states? What if just share my password anyway so I pay for one not two screens?
That is what I said when I robbed a bank.

Blue is the new black.
If data about you has been compromised, clap your hands.
But it is good to know these companies will pay a hefty fine, right? Right? Guys?

Another thing you could do with Telex was put it in a loop so the other side ran out of paper. Fun times

The communist party us still alive in the US?
We are living in strange times when we call The White House "Not trustworthy".
I think I am going to re-read Snow Crash again, but this time more for the social enviroment.
