    Make good product and people will pay money for it.
    You are so right. In my case, I downloaded a shitty cam, looked at the first few minutes and decided to go to the movies. It was quite expensive but still worth it as the movie was great. So from my perspective it seems like the piracy helped the movie make more money.

    Bah. I would rather command one of the Vorlon planet killers (B5, s. 4). Its sad that the article only lists crappy mainstream movies.

    Bah. For a while I used the scream of a Shadow ship (from B5) as my ringtone. I imagine that my co-workers hated me for it.

    I never paid for a ringtone, since I can upload a any wav/ringtone to my phone using bluetooth.

    I saw this post on the libtorrent mailing list a while ago.
    If its true, the authors of Exeem modified libtorrent and used it in their application. I am sure that the authors of libtorrent are quite happy that some people can earn money by advertising using some of their work.

    You could try Ion 2 (http://modeemi.cs.tut.fi/~tuomov/ion/) - no GTK+ or Qt dependencies.

    I started using it after I got tired of the mainstream window managers, fluxbox included.

    By the way, a kind person forked the pwc/pwcx driver.

    From the README: "Note 2: With this driver, you don't need the binary module pwcx.ko. The module pwc.ko contains all code to support you webcam in full resolution. If you found big table in the driver, it's not a binary code, but some table to use it to transform data from your webcam to an image in YUV format."
