I mean, that's a pretty dumb quote to begin with, isn't it? I cannot think of ANY job that absolutely cannot be done by a human, while possible for a computer. We haven't invented true AI yet, have we?
There are jobs which would take infinitely longer for humans to do, but they still CAN be done, theoretically, I guess.
Wow. Suggesting Crysis can be run on an FX 5200. Just... wow.
Concerning its price however - I got a couple of FX 5200s for free after a rebate almost a year ago.
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista), Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista), AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or better RAM: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or better VRAM: 256MB of Graphics Memory Storage: 12GB Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible ODD: DVD-ROM OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10
An FX5200's performance is a fraction of a 6800gt or a 9800 pro.
I thought I was somewhat heavily involved in the gaming/enthusiast community and yet I've never heard of these self-compiled BIOS with code tweaks.
Closest I've seen to that are guides for configuring the BIOS in order to get the maximum performance out of the system, but never anything about custom BIOS.
Doesn't seem all that different from p2p downloading back in the day. I'm sure many people have experienced overnight downloading spreading throughout days, and weeks sometimes.
I believe my enjoyment of the media provided p2p was far higher actually, BECAUSE of the fact that it took so much longer to get it. Now we're just spoiled with movies and media being minutes away =).
Being 19, I wonder how my kids will be different, having grown up with the world's media and information, more complete and verified than it is today due to the spread of internet, instantly available at their keyboard-fluent fingertips.
I think I'd be too tired to bike if I stopped at every stop sign and light. Then again, I don't bike on roads where there is too tight of a squeeze that cars have to slow down behind me to pass me.
One of the reasons, in my opinion, that so many cyclists don't mind following all traffic rules is that we typically have a better vantage point in terms of seeing our environment. By standing on my bike, I can already see over the parked cars to my sides and whether there are any cars coming my way from adjoining streets, unlike the person sitting in a car.
Because of a lack of a metal frame, I am also more aware of the sounds around me, like revving car engines of some speeding maniac, and thus would slow down before a car would.
The last reason, which is why I think lights and stop signs were initially implemented, is because I CAN'T go up to speeds of 60mph and above, at which the stopping distance using brakes increases too much for most peoples' safety. C'mon now, how many motorists do you think seriously stop all the way at a stop sign, without the presence of a police car?
Bikes are already moving slowly enough for cyclists to be able to use their senses, which aren't limited by the shells of our vehicles, to adequately assess risks at intersections.
I do agree however that a lot of cyclists still ride too recklessly, sometimes across moving traffic, as though they're some type of service vehicle or something. Unacceptable really.
There are plenty of Asus barebone laptops that are sold without an OS. And you can buy any high-end parts for them too (well, C2D processors, video cards akin to an 8600gt, big hard drives, etc.)
Oh cmon, flamebait without even the simplest of explanations? Or is the reason being because our coffee shops are crowded? You're right, that is downright ATROCIOUS!
Living in new york, and having been to other cities, it's difficult to find a table at any starbucks I've been during weekday work hours. Nowadays, it's sometimes hard to find a table even in the evenings and on weekends. People love to use them as a lounge space.
\windows - system config files/drivers \documents and settings - app settings/temp files, and user documents/media in \my documents
im not a windows developer or anything, but in my years of use, it's been scattered fairly logically - even when troubleshooting someone else's PC, you can usually assume that all of the documents and media will be either in Desktop or My Documents. And their application settings would be hidden in Application Data. I don't know, it was always logical to me, and I could always find everything I needed. In fact, I've become so used to it, that groking linux file architecture still seems impossible to me, after several prolonged uses, and I'm barely out of high school.
personally I have my files in several "root" (C:) directories, despite the security risks, just because it makes it that much easier to back everything up, and since I'm the sole user.
That's why you eat while waiting to respawn. And have a few tissues on hand.
I am, in fact, close to being underweight. Guess I have to get my ass off the computer chair more often and EAT, haha. Exercise would probably help too.
Do twitch-based games burn calories?
Perhaps you should upgrade? Hell, store them on a free gmail account (using something gdrive for quick access of course) if you don't have the space. I hear they're up to 5.5gb now. Should fit a couple of ten-thousand page documents...
Or that one department should have learned from the other.

How else would you fight ignorance?
Online play was free.
Seems like the power it would use would make it more costly than a new printer in a short amount of time...
Too bad he didn't just look on eBay for a FOUR dollar one:

He means the levels during the different dungeons were the same, until you switched to the next, type, of dungeon (i.e. Church to Catacombs).
I guess I have to agree, having played through it.
The potential for space-tourism is immense!

So, got a link?

XP boots in 20 seconds on my pc... perhaps you've got too much crapware =p. Or a slow hard drive. Really slow.
See, that logic fails as soon as you realize that the linux version has the larger drive.

You're um, joking, right? I don't know, it sounds like you're serious, but you're using a comedy film to support your argument.
Or am I just lacking sleep and this joke has gone over my head?

It's probably easier to tell how a wall works as opposed to the Hadron Collider...

You can edit PDFs by the way, if you so require.
