Don't forget about games that have extra content to unlock. You are most likely to have to complete the game once, like most players will, but then you may have the option for extra levels/difficulties, alternate characters/paths or something completely different. Even though you may not play the original again perhaps on a rainy day in the future you may be included to revisit the story. Without you save game it will be that same old story.
I had a T637 for about three+ years and it finally died. It was a great phone but since the model is quiet old and you would most likely have to get it used i would shy away from any model older than a year.
It first gave me troubles when the phone itself would not charge the battery, after a couple of month using a manual charge circuit the microphone went completely.
Just my two cents.
This is cool and all, go Open Source! But i at one point looked at the cube as a viable alternative for something cool and interactive (GUI), but i couldn't get past a 640x480 screen resolutions. Good luck on the Wii doing this since it too will not due any resolutions high (most likly). Maybe i can come up with a nice computer for my car.
I understand that they have plenty of them ported for playing on the 360, but the fact is that there is that 'game' that i want to play and i can't play it the 360. This and a lack of a great launch library is what caused me to sell my 360 in return for a working XBox. There are plenty of great old games and not that many great new games, how are you going to play the majority then.
I Concur.
Bluetooth 2.0 specification has been out since 2004 and you will see more and more devices using it, the new PowerBooks already have it in them. I personally think it is great. What most people don't understand is that it is a different type of wireless (a P2P type protocol) and with all the WiFi hoopla many people overlook it usefulness.
Zigbee may be a good alternative, but I haven't seen much consumer usage and it seems to be more of an industrial and hobbyist tool.
Obviously you can always argue Mpeg2 vs. Mpeg4, and i question the artifacts that may be introduced (but 10Mb bandwidth is quite a bit). Does anyone know which Mpeg4 codec they will specifically be using. I would guess they would get a proprietary one so that they have increased security beyond their encryption.
This is all nice opinion, but no one has really pointed out any relevant studies except for the mentioned firingsquad link. Quality of the cable is definitely and issue when you run lengths in excess of 20ft. I am also wondering how much of an effect Hi-Def signals will have on component cables. Obviously they can handle them but what are the draw backs of cheap cable, especially if you where to send a 1080p signal through them (not entirely sure if you can due to the general hardware available). Another cable issue will be DVI in the future, which is expensive in the first place, but how much is too expensive vs. quality.
So we really need some people who know what they are doing to run some tests and do a comparison of the generally available brands.
IMHO: Screw Radio Shack, unless you are feeling charitable and believe their pitch on gold series, and get some Belkins or splurge on Monster Cable. You could also use the cables that came in the box. Hmm.
This is bullshit, ill have played H2 and the shortness was the first complaint. You could almost assume this is a ploy of MS. If they get away with expansions for H2 where is it going to stop.
First I would like to see Microsoft deliver, and then I when they don't it won't be much of a surprise. They should stick with what they now, to bad that is nothing. Best wishes you want-to-be magicians. Take on a task you can accomplish, maybe develop a solid OS.
Yes GTA will probably tax the PSP, but it would be cool if they use the Wi-Fi and add a multiplayer dimension to the game. It has been available on the PC version and GTA:SA already.
All so very true, except that the average gamer probably can't afford the high quality HDTV projectors that would be desired to be used on screens of +70".
Also the game developers have to start making HD games for consoles that often neglect their high-res capabilities, console + DVI = currently a dream.
he [adamengst] may not understand how they work. but for the majority here i might think the understanding is natural.

Maybe he should incude a way for his parents to enjoy the projector when they aren't playing a RPG in the basement.
