Actually The Bat! is rather poorly written, IMAP has never worked properly and still doesnt even in the latest release, Ever seen the grey screen "message not loaded".
Secondly the user interface is a mess, it does however have some really cool features. I really really wanted The Bat to be my IMAP client in windows but its not gonna happen until they fix it.
The scary thing is Outlook Express is currently the best IMAP client for windows (yes I know about Mulberry, its UI is even worse than The Bat). Thunderbird is almost there.
Good explanation. Just to clarify a point, google doesn't "flip a coin" when deciding which page to choose.
It appears to be the page with the higher PageRank is considered authoritive. Thus its pretty damn hard to hijack slashdot.org (PR9) as you would have to be in control of a PR9 or higher yourself.
I couldn't care less how my body extracts ogygen from my blood supply. In fact I hate thinking about myself as a living entity, a lump sum of organic parts.
That being said, I do not consider the our medical researchers "amazingly perverse".
This is about the bigger picture, our place in the universe is important to me.

Ok I don't like activex as much as the next guy but this is:
1: Old news 2: Noone cares (see 1)
Its looking for a story thats not there. Any system can be easily compromised if "security levels are set low". The point is ActiveX is "out the box secure" - that is... unsigned code is not allowed to run.
Apple should instead of suing this kid try and find the leak first.
One way would be send a "bogus memo" out to everyone describing some new tech, however each email is slightly different in terms of punctuation, use of conjunctions an maybe a few details etc.
If the "leaker" was foolish and lazy enough to cut and paste it to a news site that quoted faithfully. It might uncover the source or at least requesting the original submission might do so.
Sounds good, where can I get some? :)
I don't care about XP. What about our servers? I know a lot of Sp1 for 2003 is similar to XP SP2 code.
Is Windows 2003 Server affected?
I use Firefox shortcuts for everything too. Yubnub is a gimmick I reckon because not everyone agrees on which shortcuts should go where.
Even around the office we all use FF shortcuts with slightly different (personalised) keywords.
Also its faster and more convenient in FF because its one less TCP call.
No kindding man, thats great loygal advice!! Thanks
I thought carbon nanotubes were the hardest/strongest material around. Or are they two seperate issues?

Not only do they deliver for $.05c per song (less or more depending). But they also re-encode at your desired quality level.
So yes $0.02c is more than enough. Avg song is 3mb, while a server with 1000GB goes for $100. You do the math...
Agent 84078, you sir are a goddamn genius!
Seriously I couldn't have said it better..
This is actually not so bad as I thought. We manage a whole bunch of Windows 2003 servers (RAS firewall does not block this unlike SP2).
I tested it against a machine on the LAN using NEMESIS (packet injector) and it owned the box for 15 seconds as stated.
I then tried it on some of our backup servers in the datacenter, nothing. This is because basically all edge routers block this type of stuff.
So really an attacker would have to host a machine in the same DC probably on the same switch to attack you.

Reference please?
Seriously I wish there was a way to mark an article as "-1 Troll"
Ladies and gentlemen this is such an article IMHO.
ABC - Always Be Coding!
Congrats! You are even more foobar than a original paranoid android. Faraday cage?! Jeesus, does no-one else find this a *tad* odd?
OMFG I couldnt agree more. The new groups is a steaming pile of $^#@#. I can't find anything anymore.

Yes just like the indy project Orkut is now google. Maybe they mean independent (from management) but still owned by the company..
I doubt that 20% can be used for watching TV.
I think this is an important issue, and could not get an answer by RTFA.
So does HDMI need HDCP fully, or can we use the technically advanced HDMI without the HDCP component for sources that are not protected?

I just ordered myself 2 of these babies. Self charging USB2, driverless, 5GB, ultrathin and very sexy.

So all he really has to do is just say:
"I dont keep webserver logs"
If he does in fact, just delete the logs securely (re-write multiple times). And turn off logging in his httpd.conf
I highly doubt his upstream ISP keeps header info on every TCP stream for the last 6 months.
Just like the Anrosynths in Star Control 2. ;)
Self replication is pretty scary if it got out of control.
Actually most DVD's look pretty shit to me. Gotta love those compression artifacts and the excessive colour banding. Its time MPEG-2 was laid to rest.
