Nah Howard's scheme was software on the computers installed by parents. Rudd is now saying that it was a failure and is instead going for ISP based filtering.
I've only ever heard of a single server with wireless support running ever. And even then it was because of a obscure network configuration and wasnt used much.
If there is a option for it then it means that they havent completely removed it. All the low level code is still there.
It doesnt seem odd until you think about a datacenter rack. Then its just wtf?
Linux comes with slocate usually out of the box. Its deliberately disabled for production servers. And I highly doubt that Microsoft has managed to beat slocate when it comes to speed.
That means you'll have a bloaty piece of crap indexing all your files all the time along with your antivirus program.
Its far harder to make a toolbar with a vulnerability with XUL/JS than making one for IE. TFA says that they are targeting specific IE toolbars with flaws. You couldnt do that with standard Firefox toolbars.
My point about the XUL was that its far harder to have a security flaw in your toolbar if you use it than if you make a IE toolbar. Firefox handles all the tough code to make a toolbar and the XUL/js just does basic stuff.
The difference between Firefox plugins and IE ActiveX is with the latter anyone can make a website which throws up a yes or no box which users will click yes on and then it takes over their computer.
Also toolbars and other stuff in Firefox dont require any executable code at all and are thus less prone to attack. Only things like Flash require executable code.
Cramming the night before (or even right before hand) also helps.
I rather enjoy my Pentium 3 laptop's heated keyboard.
;)
I dont know why they dont advertise it as a feature.
And some poor hypocrites believe that God made life evolve in to humans deliberately.
:)
Naturally they are rejected by both their religion and science.
There are convenient automatically generated pages of lists of stubs.
Find a stub and look at the categories its in.

Actually that was from the previous government.
This latest move is from the new government.
Windows cant dynamically change its kernel.
That means that all the low level code for wifi is running regardless of the option.
Actually it will have a massive impact once PIPE's fiber link to Guam is complete.
Not only will ISPs be able to get cheaper bandwidth, it will also be faster.

Yeah thats often the problem.
;)
Windows can BSOD just by having some hardware in the same room as it.
Yet often they are still far superior to Window's GUIs.
E.g. Swat has far more features than Windows supports when it comes to file sharing.
Wait. It features optional wireless support and search indexing?
Wtf? I thought it was a server OS.
What does Microsoft think a server is? Admins cant find a config file so they need to search for it?
Yeah Linux can be crammed in to a much smaller space than Windows and space is a luxury when it comes to embedded devices.
I cant see Microsoft getting a foot hold unless a company makes a kind of embedded small business server box.
It would have to be cheap though.
I wouldnt call the crap they put on American TV 'news' anyway.
They are not patenting any hardware technology. They are patenting specific gestures.
Some people would say that you dont matter so lets remove you. :P
You probably think that female genital mutilation matters while other people dont.
What doesnt matter to you, matters to other people.
Oh I'm sure people think the same way about female genital mutilation.
The 'benefits' always sound like they were invented to try and make it sound alright.
What on earth is so wrong about HTML? :(
Your completely misread my post.

Australia has 250ms lag to the US minimum. ;)
I'd sure prefer their speeds over 512k though.
TightVNC and others provide a Java applet for connecting to VNC servers.

Would #1 be because there is no public hooks for antivirus programs to use?
There of course would be private ones for Microsoft's products.
