Sorry to tell you this but we never had a law giving us a right to bare arms.:)
How many times have you shot a crazed armed thug about to attack you?
Also I feel much safer since the thugs cannot have guns either.
Stupid stuff like that just never happens in Australia. No high school shootings, no religious idiots, reasonably sensible politicians. You'd like it here. In fact most of the world is like that.
To use your same analogy, there are some people at a school who you would ask for help and others you would avoid. A game getting 6/10 where the vast majority get over 5/10 means its utter crap and you shouldnt get it.
Your here on Slashdot so I'm guessing your better at Maths and Sciences.
Do you see where I'm going?:) Your just not a all rounder.
I'm the same. I never picked up another language after spending years on it yet given a month I can master a programming language. Frustrating yes but it does have advantages.
Although I do try to keep my spelling/grammar impeccable on the net just to try and hold back the wave of IM speak.
I use Linux. Its like walking in to someone's house and it promptly collapses on top of me. The idiots who use Windows affect me indirectly which is really annoying since their computers are sending me spam and brute forcing my servers.
It goes in/etc/conf.d/net for Gentoo. You wont find it on other distros. Its part of Gentoo's kick ass networking system.
I dont know about you but I think thats rather user friendly. Sure its not for basic users but its pretty easy to tell Gentoo to use the wifi the way you want it to. User friendly doesnt imply a GUI.:)
Its nice to hear some GPL sense on Slashdot for once.
Companies still irritate the hell out of me with GPL code. They always make their product and release the source as a after thought. So they are all violating for a period of time.

First you say that they shouldnt be using flat files and then you say that they dont have much dynamic content.
Make your mind up please?
If you have static content and a high load then a database is overkill.
....Duh. I have never seen any evidence which indicates that the majority of Americans are rational at any level.
:)
9/11 is a perfect example.
Its in your bloody constitiution that ID is illegal in schools.
Yet there is a review to see if they should ignore it or not.
If you feel your a rational person then my advice is to get the hell out of there asap.
Australia is a nice place.
Umm no, the delays are all the industry's fault.
Region codes were designed to try and enforce the delays since the regions are geography based.
SECAM is just PAL with a few tweaks.
It works fine. Every VCR, DVD and TV made in the last 5 years or so can do both easily.
No, people with mental illness have fully functioning neurons.
The brain is completely healthy as a living thing.
Some things like depression are temporary.
Others like Autism are permanent.
Neither are physical injuries.
Sure those agents could have been working on something else.
:)
And when they closed that case they would also be getting damages covering their wages.
Effectively the FBI doesnt need to pay their agents.
Good grief! Windows 9x running for 49.7 days?
:)
I'm sure the bug you mention is purely theoretical and has never been seen in real life.
I've never ever seen IE 2. I used Netscape before IE 4.
What I find amusing is that if Vista wasnt so bloated, it wouldnt be a issue.
To use your same analogy, there are some people at a school who you would ask for help and others you would avoid.

Your network which is being being beamed to my house. :)
If you want it secure, stop broadcasting it. Simple.
Not everyone has MS release cycles you know.
Those upgrades are completely new versions. Not bug fixes.
Nah thats just a screw up. :)
I'm not dyslexic.
Mental disabilities dont work like that fyi.
Stroke victims have physical damage which triggers rewiring.
People with mental disabilies are physically healthy.
The rest of what you said is completely irrelevant to this story.
Your saying that your inability to learn another language is a mental disability?
I'd say its just something your not good at.
Most brute forces I see are just random guesses at default accounts.
Its more expensive than a normal brute force so I assume its Windows boxes.
There are two types of people at Slashdot.
;)
Those who are smart and those who want to look like they are smart.
There may be a third type who think that Slashdot is cool but one day they will wake up and realize the truth.
Your here on Slashdot so I'm guessing your better at Maths and Sciences.

God I need mod points.
:)
That just made my day.
I would agree but it depends on your definition of violence.
Someting like Unreal Tournament I would not put in the violent category.
Sure your killing people but its pretty tame.
GTA gets borderline from me.
It goes in /etc/conf.d/net for Gentoo.

Thats one reason I never liked the BSD license.
