I got the sony smartwatch. it's the follow up to liveview, and it's not bad for what it does and it's price point. Only problem I have with it is the non standard usb cable it comes with.
After how they massively shafted their entire customerbase (including me) with the NMP-1000 and NMP-1000P mediatanks, I will never buy a QNAP product again.
Do you mind explaining your situation? What did QNAP do that was so terrible?
KDE is my favorite. It's configurable and lets me set up my desktop the way I want. When I switched to dual monitors it was easy to configure a new task bar and menu bar at the top of the screen. The apps are great. Amarok kicks ass, Digikam is awesome, I can still get on irc easily with konversation, or have chats with anyone on facebook or msn etc, browse, email, torrent, everything.
I'm also happy with the progress they're making on the cloud front with owncloud...
best desktop ever.
to each their own.
I prefer the netbook. An Asus 1005PE is great for streaming TV shows from the web. Watching TV using XBMC (I have a mythtv server at home). Browsing the web, reading blogs and articles, emailing. I can hook up a mouse to it, copy pictures from my camera using the built in card reader. Browse the net anywhere using the WiFi or tether it with my phone and use 3G. It's battery life is awesome 14 hours, It's build quality is great. The price is amazing, $370 here in Hong Kong.
I guess it depends how you use the device. a lot of things I mentioned wouldn't work on the iPad. I loved the iPad's idea, and I wanted a tablet for the longest time, but a netbook was more flexible, cheaper, and easier to use.
Note that it's not the workers who should accommodate the manager so he can do his work, it should be the other way around. The manager should manage, so the workers can work.
If you think that managers are there for you to work you're one of the people I won't want to work with, and I'm a programmer too. It's about _working together_. If you can't work with the team, you're not going to be helping at all.
It's a hybrid bastardization of several products that turned out to be a poor idea.
you think? Right now I use my sony erricsson K750 for my phone calls, mp3 playlists with 512MB, taking quick pictures and movies, morning alarms etc. I would love more functionality and UI just like this phone.
I would truly love a device like the iphone for everyday use. Even the price and battery life on the device meet my requirements simply because I don't use my phone that much nor do i listen to music that much.
or they're trying something else...

I bought a sony sj33 when it was about to be faded out, infact I bought the display model off the shelf because there was no more stock of it. I was impressed with it, I carried with me all the time and did whatever I could to get it syncing with my KDE desktop. Over time though I used the PIM features so much that sj33's software were somewhat limited. Enter TH55, I bought it on the first day it came out and have used it heavily. I didnt have much use for wifi or bluetooth yet but its PIM features are just great....then I moved ot japan and a trip to the local mall revealed the sony type U...I wanna get linux on it, esepcially since running Windows XP 900Mhz celeron CPU choke...but the hefty price tag.....
Oh yeah another thing bout sony,...all sony devices use memory stick...I found it annoying that all the other products different flash media for cameras or phones or mp3 players or video cameras etc....that was the main reason I went with sony..

You should look into Serviio or Plex for that. I recommend Serviio more, and Plex if you have a samsung TV smart TV, or a Roku.
They don't make use of AirPlay mirroring?
with two large monitors, I have enough screen real estate to avoid using virtual desktops and activities.
