Am dismayed. Macromedia was really starting to shine as a rich media application innovator. Hopefully, Adobe will be able to lend enhancements and not hinderances.
Absolutely! There's nothing to be gained for the consumer if Amazon sponges off Netflix {and/or} Blockbuster. Amazon should have no trouble doing this on their own.
"Users were urged to keep anti-virus and patches up to date, regularly scan machines with anti-spyware products and exercise caution when reading unsolicited messages sent via e-mail or instant messenger."
C'mon, people...This stuff should be habit by now.
Looks like the Mac mini will miss out on this one.
This is mainly because the mini is primarily a 'switch' machine, not a power-user's box. A good intro for the PC folks curious enough to try a Mac, but not so committed as to spring for the more powerful systems.
While the Linux desktop continues to evolve, piggybacking numerous different window manager systems, and still requiring some conf file hacking to get some things to work properly, Linux just can't kill Windows as a desktop environment.
As an OS, Linux has Windows beat by a mile in the areas of stability, security, and scalability. But "Linux the Desktop" still has a way to go to win over the average user.
Sure, KDE and Gnome are similar enough to the basic MS Windows GUI, but throw in things like package dependencies and kernel version compatibilities, and and your average MS-loving user will get confused, frustrated, and eventually give up.
Don't get me wrong...I personally love the Linux desktop and use it every day, but it's just not at a good 'ease of use' level for most average PC users.

I'm intersted to see if Apple upgrades any of the Mini's components (especially RAM) to ease customers into the Tiger upgrade. Also, any word on whether new Minis will come pre-installed with Tiger?
What I meant by this is that NASA could easily modify existing (and future developed) space technology to be used in oceanic exploration...and yes, in conjunction with NOAA.
Now they have more time to camp in line in front of Grauman's theatre for Revenge of the Sith!

Great new collaborative partnership? Or the rise of the IT Sith?
Only time will tell...
Make up your mind, Hollywood!
PLEASE don't let it go down like that dribbling love-fest of an interview with Mozilla's Mitchell Baker.
Just don't get a h2g2 geek to do the interview and we should be okay.

They get you hooked on the freebies and then get you on the come-back.
Ah well...only a matter of months before someone comes out with another free version of MeetUp.
Usefulness? Just because it's addictive, doesn't mean it's useful.

I guess we all know which school Napoleon Dynamite will be attending in the fall.
I mean if you're gonna have dance skills, you gotta have a sweet floor.
