+1 We're a Trend shop, and we investigated Deep Security (antivirus and soft firewall that runs at the hypervisor level, so no client on your VMs) but it was ridiculously expensive compared to running Officescan with Intrusion Defence Firewall on each VM. It is more efficient in terms of host resources, but we've got IO and CPU to burn, so there was no return for the huge cost. I hear they may be moving away from a per VM licence, so it may become financially realistic for us. But for now we're sticking with Officescan with the IDF plugin.
Wow, that gave me a nosebleed! All kidding aside, I just wanted to say thanks. Your first post made the rest of this thread make a lot more sense - kudos!
How does a helmet lessen the force applied to a brain? Sure, it'll stop your skull getting crushed, but it's not going to have much effect on soft tissue trauma from sudden velocity changes is it?
Most modems disabled the sound after the connection was made. If you wanted to mess with someone you could change the modem init string so the sound kept going throughout the call. From memory, it was ATM2 for the annoying sound-always-on, and M1 for normal sound-until-connection
God, I remember those chain drive IBM printers. The ones I used booted off an 8" floppy, and you could hear the heads moving on those suckers from two rooms away. CLUNK! - thuk thuk thuk thuk thuk thuk thuk - CLUNK!
How can you attack another VM on the same host? Seriously, I'd like to know if there's weaknesses in the hypervisor that could allow this?

Actually they don't. I have Spotify fully disconnected from Facebook.
Can you explain how you managed that? I want to use Spotify, but I'm fucked if I'll sign up for Facebook.
Well, attack is the best form of defence...
How did you manage to even get a girl in your basement?
Rohypnol's a hell of a drug.
Another alternative is Path of Exile by Grinding Gear Games. A few facts:
It's currently in closed beta, but you can join for a donation of $10 or more
It'll be free to play when released.
You do have to be online to play.
I haven't bothered with D3, but I'm enjoying PoE whilst waiting for Torchlight II to be released.
They don't think the equivalent of some evil country's NSA could do much better?ï

"Are they going to use them for watering the crops or something?"
Google "Chemtrails".
Pleasant dreams.
So watering crop circles then?
If you want an appliance, Exinda monitoring/shaping/accelerating appliances have fail-open NICs. I use and like them.
So high, so low, so many things to know.
How do you get consent for necrophilia???
Anyway, it's dead boring.
Stoning seems appropriate.

Care to surmise just how? I'm curious to see how you arrived at this conclusion.
I wonder if their children have hunches? Maybe webbed feet? Probably all they got is a statistically higher chance of cancer.
What a bunch of bullcrap. Oracle is not a person.
I always though it was just an acronym for One Rich Asshole Called Larry Ellison.
