remember, the T2 chip is also used to disable the computer when it detects non-apple replacement parts. this is just a stupid story to take your attention away from that fact and have you think that having the T2 chip in your computer is a good thing.
what are you on about? steam play/proton plays the same games as you have on windows (that is the whole point). so if 90% of that is crap, then 90% of steam is crap and 90% of games on windows are crap.
instead of making effort in reducing air pollution, we will develop all kind of breather devices you have to wear all the time to prevent you from inhaling poluted air. we might need them anyway, as a sudden air-polution-stop is not going to happen any time soon.
even for the cheapest solution, which is a ps4 + vr kit, it's still very expensive. let alone for pc, where the price for a decent setup is already what my budget allows. ofcourse you have those smartphone kits, which are rubbish.
give it a few years still, while processing power continues to increase. maybe an occulus go v5 will be cheap & capable.
Q. who has the biggest chance of the least injuries or death? A. the person in the car.
the places where you would encounter pedestrians normally already have low speed limits, the car should be able to easily avoid hitting the pedestrian while still decreasing the speed enough that in case it crashes into something, the injuries to the passengers will be none to minimal. but even hitting a pedestrian at 50km/h can result in death or severe injuries.
not always true, sometimes it gets really hard to find certain parts and then it gets expensive again. just ask any retro car owner/lover how cheap his car parts are.
what does this mean, that you can revert back to the initial state? why would you want that? that image is out of date, including a lot of security problems. the problem isn't the os (at least on android), but the crap vendors put on top of it. my samsung phones include so much rubbish, battery life is limited to one day. when i installed a clean custom rom on it, it lasted for days. my S4 is still going strong, despite it being many years old.
TED and TED-ed are two different things, TED-ed are really educational and basically a quick introduction (each video runs at about 5 mins average) into some sience/history/literature topic.
because you won't just drop dead from one day to another. your life conditions will worsen over time before you actually die, making you even more miserable then you already are before reaching the end.
the most innovating products were always easy to repair. look at cars that made a difference, for example the citroen 2cv & vw beetle/golf; they were easy to take apart and repair. the first (apple) computers basically were build your own and thus easy to repair. if innovation makes your product hard to repair, it will be a pain to build upon for the future as well as the complexity makes it difficult or at least very expensive to advance the technology used within.
I found the BSD's are very good, but there is some relearning to be done (however, a case can be made these days that Linux also requires a lot of relearning by swapping out the 'old' and replacing it with something new for not always very clear reasons). And since i've used Linux a lot more and a lot longer, i tend to return to it. That said, it's good to know that BSD is there, just in case.
the fine line between prank app and malware.
anyway, i never knew these apps were once popular, always avoided them with a passion.
XFCE is basically gnome 2.
I don't think OSS advocates are against it because 'capitalism', it's just that closed source software is inferiour.
True, but at the same time i'm a huge supporter and advocate for RH's products at my place of work.
So in some way they did make money through me.

Everybody knows that autism and such things are a result of vaccination!
And they dare call themselves scientists, phu!
They don't need to share with Apple, I'm sure there enough others to share your personal data with.
Oh, look, a 'news' article paid for by Oracle.
Well the game wasn't doing well on VR, they released a desktop version and it still wasn't doing well.
MUST BE A PROBLEM WITH VR!!
I would rather think it is a problem with the game if it also fails on the desktop.
Stop this nonsense and just make Android One the only valid certified Android.
Updates come directly from google, how it should be.

He keeps using his own phone because his contact list is on there.
Is that really the issue? Really?
There is NOBODY who said - No problem, sir, i can transfer this list for you in a few seconds.
that is going to ruin tor for everybody, or at least everybody in the UK.

as long as they put a checkbox in that popup to 'never show this again', i'm OK with it.

There is ubuntu server edition, the advantage to debian server is if you like to use the ubuntu server specific tools.

At some point no real actors will be needed anymore, just 3D models that can be used forever.
