Make the RIAA and the MPAA the IP address they are sending a cease and desist letter to. I think if the judge presiding over the case starts getting identical cease-and-desist letters from the MPAA and RIAA he might question the validity of their claims.
This is their wheel upgrade cycle since there was a Windows 95 (bad) then you had Windows 98SE (good). Then you have Windows 2000/Me (bad), now we have Windows XP (good). Now Microsoft is pushing Windows Vista(bad), until they are able to release Windows 7(good?).
IMHO Farscape said it best...
Crichton: "My grandmother used to say life is a great wheel. Sometimes it grinds you down into the mud, other times it lifts you up into the light."
D'Argo: "Are we strapped to this wheel?"
Crichton: "That's a given. The point is, is that most times you get a second chance. You just gotta wait for the wheel. "
From what I understand in order to do data sifting that gives you any useful information you need to have enough 'normal' background data in order to find something 'ab-normal'. That's why I think that they have everyone's phone information instead of just the information from warrants. Then when you have interest in someone specific you can use their patterns to find other persons of interest. Even though most of these other persons of interest will probably be false positives.
I would like to disagree I found that Superman III was still quality. Richard Pryor, Clark Kent vs. Superman.
Superman IV on the other hand was so bad it killed the series.
I like my sweet, sweet analog cable coming in straight to my tv. No broadcast flag, no CableCard, and no cable box. Do you really need more than 100 channels?
Can you imagine the difficulty of trying to create a library if they already didn't exist. Publishers, Authors, Printers, MPAA, RIAA... they would all try to sue you into oblivion for essentially 'giving away' what they rightfully own.
This work should really be no different than other large scale productions for voice work. Don't expect to get paid the same as a A-List actor like Eddie Murphy did for Shrek, but possibly the same as Jodi Benson was for The Little Mermaid. (I'm not looking for an argument here for what constitutes an A-List actor)
There are probably at least Two reasons that this was ignored 1) The form letter from the Government was ignored like unsolicited credit card application. 2) The data center in question needs their people to work on projects instead of collecting information for said Government.
I would recommend Firefox Portable if you want to see if FF3rc1 is right for you. No registry changes and it allows you to add your extensions without issue. I have 10 add-ons that I use with Firefox and last time I tried to do a blind upgrade with forced add on use Firefox would not even start.
This is true, but why does it matter that this happened over MySpace? If my REPEATED FRAUDULENT actions coerce someone into killing themselves I'm guilty of at least manslaughter. It shouldn't matter if I'm talking to them, calling them on the phone, sending letters, sending electronic messages, smoke signals, semaphore...
All ovals are ellipses. A circle is an ellipse where the two foci have a length of zero as measured from the center point. Since a circle is round. So round is also oval.
I wonder if their facial recognition will also blur the 'faces' of posters, statues, manikins...
I agree that this is something that should be done. Just because you are in public doesn't mean that you have no rights to privacy.
What I also find strange is that Google hasn't put their street view in Washington, DC yet.
That was Blade:Trinity: Wesley Snipes, Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds.
"She's making playlists. She likes to listen to MP3s when she hunts. It's like her own internal soundtrack. House, dance, trip-hop, whatever kids listen to these days. Me, I'm more of a David Hasselhof fan."
What I have been seeing is the trend of having the normal 2D version in 16x9 theaters and the 3D on the IMAX. Superman... Beowulf... it's easier to do this on computer animation films since you already have all of the z-depth values.
I prefer Foxit Reader to Adobe Acrobat. It's free, faster, lighter weight, and it doesn't add things to your start menu.

I would recommend the "Poison Elves" series by Drew Hayes and "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" by Jhonen Vasquez. I have read "The Watchmen" and was not a fan of it either.

Anyone heard of Alfred Nobel?
I thought there was going to be a FF RC2 as well. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Firefox-3-0-Release-Candidate-2-RC2-Gets-the-Green-Light-86752.shtml
You forgot about Arthur Anderson which was the accounting firm that was shredding documents in the wake of the fall of Enron. They were shut down in 2002. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Andersen#Accounting_scandals

Isn't the point of WikiLeaks is that someone doesn't want it leaked? Otherwise it would just be news.
What if baseball switches to four strikes? Does the law change?
I had a moment of panic that my corporate firewall was going to block slashdot. Strangely my rss feed was still up. huh?
but Laser Tag would be in!!! Bring on the Ender's Game references.

Nick to know that I'll be doing my online shopping in the 'Green Zone' hoping I don't get hit by a roadside logic bomb.
