It makes sense, if officials think the guy has some intel or is special....he needs to be stopped as soon as he lands, so tip the hat and voila he has made it on the no fly list, but is it really that big a deal we need to hear it on/.?
Now he has proof, and that not only was he unfairly treated, but that the cops tried to cover up their mistake, and that should cost them, as they should be made examples of, just like citizens in this case were made examples out of....it is only fair, as well he should receive a large sum for his losses, and also his defamation.
They want to be in line with google in terms of ad awareness for their clients and users. which ads do we serve, lets mine their data, analyse, then next time they use their facebook accounts... low and behold, they will see ads meant for them , customized as google does. Nothing wrong with them wanting to make money, when facebook is free, it is the only way they get to feed their families.
As a strategic move I can understand why they would want to force their competitors to stop using their ARM processor, but with the atom not far behind, why would they worry, intel can set up deals for the android phones in case Apple says no to google buying their processors for the android phones.
Let's ask someone with cancer if they think that using a test drug that could cure them, or kill them, and if they die, we learn from it, until we get it right...also, if we stopped using animals for our testing (as self righteous a species as we are) you would see a much higher increase in attention for detail, as you could not go through a batch of people like you would mice, therefor you would be much more obliged to make sure to get it right quicker.
I just love the way they tear into anything that thinks too highly of itself, and brings them down a notch, no matter which religion "dumb,dumb,dumb,dumb....dumb"....you will get burned by them. I gotta say, it is really great to see their humor knows no bounds, I just hope they continue to beat simpsons record for longest running show....many years to go yet though!
It was only a matter of time! I worked for an insurance company 15 years ago, when the gps systems were first coming, out, and I was telling them it could be worthwhile to combine this into a black box that you install on cars to then offer even cheaper rates based on the stats of the person's driving behaviors. The boss could not grasp why on earth i would want to do that, but now with proof that satellites are able to track your speeding, this somewhat dissolves the need for that, as it would be more cost effective to send up a satellite then to force your clients to have a blackbox installed on their vehicles.
They could issue some sort of compliance form signed in front of a judge by that person, that will stand up in court, that the drug is meant as treatment but you are taking a risk, and you know the risk, then it would be ok, no?
It took this long for the airlines to look closer at what is ok and what is not, wow....that's thinking ahead, as soon as it erupted there should have been activity of the highest degree (best engineers) looking over all the stats.....now after this many losses, it sort of like flogging the long deceased horse...no one will travel yet again, because for the airlines to keep making money you will now have to pay 4 times the amount for an airline ticket then you used to....
Why cant they just fly beside the cloud instead of just grounding altogether the planes....i know it is big, but it is not that big, just refuel along the way, or add connections bypassing the cloud....may cost some money, but alot less then what you are now loosing in revenue!!!
Not talking about Nix per se, but use windows environment, I do tend to agree though, i use the vs2005 to build an app to ask me a whole bunch of questions and also report back outcomes of scripts, to avoid the cmd shell, then also add some more user friendly stuff, but in the whole, at the bass, i use the app to execute batch files that can also be executed from command line, in stages and with parameters, saves me rewriting the whole thing if i need to wrap it up as external dll, or even if i need to call just a quick one time shot on a batch file, far from being the big app, but simple enough that an interface means even most non programming users can do my job for me if i am gone on vacation....
Seriously, when I was in IT school, you could not go on a website without seeing at least 3 if not 4 times the same code for your problem. If the app they are using does a compare var to var instead of name of var to name of var, i can say that 99% of code is plagerised. Why....because if I need a function that adds x to y or x to z and returns an integer, no matter how i write it, at the base of things...you will end up having x =...., y =...., x + y =.... retutn...., so if everybody has the same project , think of how many variations you really can have for that function.
Instead I would ask to have a working application that does what it is supposed to, then change the code up in that person's project then tell them to find the problem and fix it....or better yet, have some projects that other students have made, have a second student change the code all around, and then send it back to the first one to fix so it does what it is supposed to....
You have to remember in this case that the position one will fill in the REAL world is simple, if they do not know the answer, know where to look to get it. If the hardware, software does not work, fix it, and if you can't get a consultant in to help you.... not everyone knows assembler or how to configure an old pbx system, does not mean the programmer or network admin is useless because he does not know EVERYTHING.
>It's ridiculous that weeks later they can't figure out what's going on. Or that the management cant realize the problem could also be from the inside...
You would obvisouly have to give it to the cow once in awhile, in order for it to know there is hope, maybe after having waled a certain distance or that after a particular amount fo feet it moves forward some..then the cow gets to it...and the process repeats, you know we were able to come up with being able to put man on the moon, i am sure they can devise a method or machine that does just this.
Instead of....inclination, i would put a carrot type in front of them, and if they walk, then the belt moves, if they dont then the belt does not move..but it all comes down to if the cow wants, then there would be no issue with being inhuman, seeing as it could rest if it wanted to...its sheer will to get that carrot would be whats making it move.
Finally, something to brag about, I think this is an awesome idea, and should be sent out to all dairy farmers, in order for them to think of the bigger picture. Not only make money for milk, but keep themselves off the grid, or even give back some.
I tend to agree with you, I think vm is pretty much mostly the way to go these days, for server consolidation to secure environment usage, i just would like to find a fail safe way of introducing a liteweight version to install no each pc at work, so the users could also benefit from these, and not just servers....like sandboxing all our users in the company on machines that are running their environment, and keep all files on the network backed up somewhere...so that if we need to restore a snapshot or introduce a new image, it is all pretty much quick and clean from the virtual point of view.
The problem is that you can also take the courses progressively, yeas they cost money, but so does life. I want to remain up to date so that my career always stays up to par, and working for your company stops me from developing as i am not in school constantly learning new things, ergo, i need to keep this up, but can not in my full time position, you then have to compensate me for that loss, and keeping me up to date, is irrelevant when it comes to getting your money back, when you consider all the time and resources saved when you DONT have to call IBM tech and have him fix something for you, that your own tech guy can now do at half the price.
Could they just not allow any of the cloud computing to even send out these specific attacks, or raise a flag to the admins what is going on, or are they helpless as their contracts bind them to allow whatever is going on to continue because they rented out those cycles and now can not touch them by law, because they are bound by contract?
How could the government FORGET where they had buried their own arsenal from a previous war....OMG are you serious...this is what I am getting from this story, that no one knew to be careful around there let alone discover a new found stash....should they not all have been documented to avoid being dug up....or is that only for the presidents eyes only? Come on, for a body that governs this whole nation, you would expect more diligence on their part.
There already is a few different prototypes out there by people who have made their way into the new frontier, without darpas help... however i do think getting bigger organizations into this might help promote further discoveries much sooner.
We are spending way too much energy on stuff that is happening millions of light years away , how much is this costing us the tax payer to fund these discoveries that we can do without, seriously, have we come close to ending famine or curing cancer....i think those are the top 2 priorities, i understand we need to up to date to continue our moon missions and all, but what is happening so far away about these blackholes seems a bit to miss the point , no?
Mostly, when my aunt died, everybody was asking where the funeral was, and where to send flowers, we gave them the funeral parlors card, and had a url made up for her passing. It was an obituary for her, with a sign in book for comments, and all the info needed for sending flowers or joining in for her funeral. This was all included in the service fee for the funeral, and I believe it is now common practice. So why would anyone have to spend even more money to let the press know what the family needs to know.
The newspapers need to understand their time has passed, they just keep adding to bringing down the trees, otherwise the radio, net or tv is where i get my news....why waste paper like that?
It makes sense, if officials think the guy has some intel or is special....he needs to be stopped as soon as he lands, so tip the hat and voila he has made it on the no fly list, but is it really that big a deal we need to hear it on /.?

underrated for sure....too bad i ain't got any points to mod you..

Actually in this case, you would use vmware as it reads ghost images as a native format and will be able to boot from it.

I like this post, makes me think I should renegotiate my contract this year.....will definitely try to add something of this nature if i can.
