Why did Rehnquist not retire? Why did he stay when he was sick? Was he this sick?
My guess is that the reason he didn't retire was that he knew he was going to die, and he didn't want the President and Senate fighting over his position while he was still alive.
If you people can't even write everyday English, let along meet the more stringent requirements imposed by programming languages, then no wonder software sucks so much.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
This may not be a problem for those of you in a state like NY or Maryland
If it's not a problem here in Maryland, then I really don't want to live in a state where it is. The damn Republican Party keeps calling here begging for money. It doesn't seem to matter to them how many times they're told no, though when I told them I was a registered Democrat, that seemed to fend them off for a while.
The average American likes Windows because it is relatively simple to install
The average American doesn't install Windows. They buy the computer with Windows preinstalled, and when their copy of Windows gets to the condition that it needs to be reinstalled, they throw out the computer and get another one.
Perhaps a better analogy would be of building a car from scratch, occasionally (in the case of Syllable) using parts from existing cars, such as Linux cars.
Not disputing your point, just modifying the analogy...
Wow... this means that talking about 'the Internets' might actually become an accurate expression. This is what we pay politicians big bucks for - they're visionaries who shape the future. My support for the administration has risen to new heights.
You owe me a new sarcasm detector. Mine just exploded.
It's silly walks, not funny walks.
Oops. Maybe I should have taken that course after all.
As long as "CS251: Introduction to Funny Walks" remains an elective, I'm fine with it.
I saw an ad for Sunlight last night.
Guess I can't buy that, either.
Buy sunlight? I get it for free.
Hopefully, nobody from the SPAA will read this...
Oregon Trail does work in Dosbox.
I suggest ports for financial news, spam, penis enlarger advertisements, and so on.
Spam already has a port... port 25.
Or we could just redefine the length of an hour such that there are 28 hours for each rotation of the Earth.

It refreshes every few minutes, and when it refreshes, Firefox slows to a crawl.
If it's sufficient close to random then you can't compress it at all.
True. In fact, in some cases, using compression on a random file will increase the size of the file rather than decrease it.
In Soviet Korea, only dogs clone old people?
It's pretty trivial to identify when baseball is exciting:
bool is_baseball_exciting ()
{
return false;
}

The linked article doesn't seem to mention HP or Linux in any way...
I'm quite surprised. My rep was one of the few Republicans that voted against the bill.

Their job is to make laws. They just happen to be very good at their job. Too good at it, in fact.

Too many school networks are being used for slackware purposes.
I was wondering why IS got mad at me for wasting bandwidth downloading Slackware CDs...

Anybody know where I can find a map of their world locations?
Store locations
So... MacOSX on PPC running VirtualPC running MacOSX/x86, running PearPC.....
My head hurts.
It's just like George Orewell predicted
Did George Orwell predict bad spelling?
Yes.
There's w3m, but admittedly, I don't know much about it.
