Whatever you do, DONT read the parent you are replying too...I quoted from the article, whatever the other posts say, the article states they are suing over the format.

The lawsuit centers around the comedy troupe's portrayal of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" format, according to Jim Mallon, president of Best Brains and producer of the television show. He says Mr. Sinus' lean toward adult-type humor goes against the spirit of MST3K.

Yes, they don't like the name similarity, but they also don't like that it is an adult-type humor FORMAT.

True, the spirit of MST3K was always "reference" humor, it was amazing how many inside references they could get in one show.

That format would be sitting in a theater and making fun of a bad movie? Guess they better start suing most groups of teenagers I've ever seen at a movie

OK, since you obviously have not read it (like most members of Congress). How about my right to privacy. The government, for whatever reasons they choose, can wiretap my phone, find out what I read at the library. How about my right to a fair and quick trial - they again can detain me without cause - just because my name is not Abdul does not mean that it won't happen. Wake up.

COBOL is an old language, not necessarily a bad language. Like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. If you like programming in COBOL then you'll probably be good at it. If you like programming in Java, then you'll probably be able to code any business data processing functionality you need in it too. I think it's best to use the tool you're most comfortable with.

Compare Microsoft to automobile makers. When they started, they were unsafe. So they added a 'fix' like seatbelts. Then they added crumple zones, an enhancement to make them safe. Airbags, side impact curtains, rear-sensors for backing up, and so on, and so on.

I think a big difference here is that car manufacturers REDESIGNED cars to add those things, we don't have airbags in our Model-T's. MS has not done a good job of redesigning Windows, so the insecurities remain.
