    driverless cars have full 360 degree vision, and they already stop for trolleys and erroneous pedestrians crossing the road illegally.

    That means I have complete freedom to cut them off, and make vehicles behind them crash when they try to stop suddenly.

    To be an efective driver an AI would need to understand my hand signals. Until then it is not safe for it to be on the road when I am on my bike.

    More to the point for me, my son is on the plane. I will rush the gun to soak up the bullets which might kill him. Lots of people travel with their families. Its the main use for air transport.

    IIRC there have been a few cases since where one guy on a plane starts to set off an explosive and the people around him go medieval on him, trying to disable him and the weapon.

    But China and US are in a position where they could do a binding deal. China gives north korea to south korea, the US agrees to limit their presence in a combined korea. In practice it is only there because of north korea anyway.

    Yeah but international trade wasn't so important in those days. A country could operate with an isolated economy. Now trade everywhere is global. Nobody can afford to deal themselves out. Just look at North Korea.

    Not even with Nukes. Even if they can detonate a 30kt weapon at ten thousand feet or so, the area inside blast radius would be a fraction of Seoul. and NK have at best a few nukes, with only one opportunity to deliver a weapon.

    Also, the Seoul transit system is drilled deep into solid rock and is obviously intended as an air raid shelter.

    Water vapour is an amplifier. Carbon dioxide traps more heat which causes more humidity which traps more heat. Feedback is the most dangerout aspect of climate change because climate may be bistable.

    Sure but until local idiots start downloading guns with one click and running them off on a standard peripheral, they won't worry. People with the ability to 3D print a gun can already make all sorts of weapons.

    Speaking as a dedicated bike commuter, I wouldn't hit the road without one. No matter how hard I try, I am going to come off the bike every 20 or 30 thousand kilometres, and head wounds are nasty.

    Though strangely Japanese people I know think it is strange to wear a helmet to ride a bicycle.

    Bike rider here. Thats true but I know a few formerly basement dwelling unfit people who bought fancy smartphone devices for exercise when they got into cycling.

    Some smart phone users buy cases to attach their phone to their arm. Some of these people will buy a dedicated device for that purpose.

    Normal users in China expect to get a free copy of Windows, so there is no license cost included with the computer. The shop doesn't pay for windows either.
