I just find it interesting that all the comments here basically are about the 360 Vs Wii. Isn't the bigger news that PS3 continues to be an irrelevance? Have all the PS3 fanboys become Wii supporters in an attempt to detract attention from their consoles miserable performance.
I have to say that this generation I see room for both the Wii, as a cheap/innovative/invite your friends round console, and either the 360 or PS3, as a complex graphics/multimedia/online multiplayer console. At the moment it looks like the conclusion is Wii60.
First, what are these children doing? They must be writing chapters of the next Great American Novel. I have had a prepaid cell phone for 3 years and never had a text message. Then one day I had a profoundly dead individual who needed service on her personal computer and sent me a text message. What to do? I had to dig out the manual and learn how to thumb type to answer her! I tried to turn the service off on the phone because she was pestering me with these messages. To no avail, it was not possible. I'm assuming were are using the predictive text on you mobile to type that
By having a highly competitive entry process they end up with students who are either smart enough to pass the entry exams on their own or smart enough to cheat and get away with it.
I went out and bought the game today. Came home spent what seemed like forever installing the game. Went to to sign up, got as far as entering my credit card details then the server died.
A quick look at the WoW forums shows that they've had to pull the sign up server "due to the heavy load on the system".
Geez, what were they expecting on the first day? And now that they've pulled the server I hope they're expecting a rush when they put the servers back up.
Actually I remember reading that in London your tap water is likely to have already passed through 12 other people before reaching you. This is because drinking water is drawn from the Thames and waste water is purified (hopefully) before being sent back into the Thames.

Unfortunately we are dealing with well organized, well funded, politically active nutcases

The 1st series has already been shown in the UK on Sky One. We had even watched the complete series before the 1st episode aired in the US.
This because Sky did a deal with Sci Fi, to part fund production.
(And BTW if you want to watch any "geek" show in the UK Sky is really the only option, IMHO)

I've got a feeling that these are going to get a lot more common in the future
Only now at the end, young Hoaxer, do you fully comprehend the POWER of the dark-side/Internet.
That scene from Ghostbusters, where they are in the elevator and they turn the back packs on for the first time.
I can see it now, you go to switch you laptop on everone in the room backs off.
