Is there a way to remove these? Apple is tracking us with this as a DRM. So, we can't even share our downloaded apps (e.g., Mac OS X installers) onto other computers.:(
Ditto. However, we still use CRT TVs (SD) and DVDs. I do HDTV on my 19" LCD 5:4 monitor though since my computer has a dual HDTV tuners card. I can't even see 3D like with Avatar, Captain America, CA Adventure's 3D shows and rides, etc.:(
Yeah, that's the problem with me. I did not have any of that. Army wanted me to join the army, but I couldn't since I was already too old and born with disabilities. I would be happy to do their IT work! Oh well, their loss.
Ditto. I can't get DSL and FIOS from Verizon. I can go back to dial-up (~3 kB/sec at ~28800 speed since I ever got a 33.6k modem -- everyone has this problem in my areas due to crappy phone lines since GTE days).:(
Embedded videos, Google Maps' Street View, etc. don't work with FlashBlock. I had to whitelist them. However, I don't use FlashBlock anymore since the latest Mozilla's web browsers come with an plugin ask prompt feature.:)
Apple wants control. I found out that Apple uses your ID account to inject your data into each downloaded app as DRM. Read https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5261... I was wondering why my downloaded 10.9 copy did not match others' with file sizes, CRC checksums, etc.:(
Even updated Office 2000 and 2002/XP, with the 2007 compatibility packs, are fine for me! Sure, they're unsupported but they work. I don't use Office a lot anymore at home like I used to do for school work, so I care not if they have missing security updates.
Ditto. Even Office 2000 SR3 with its 2007 compatibility pack does way better than the free Office suites. They can't even open password protected docx files which happens once in a while from other people.:(
I noticed the changed wallpapers too. However, my assigned screen saver was the same.
Here's what's worse. If you install W8.1 from its ISO file over the old activated and updated W8.0 with its Media Center addon (got it for free), then it asks you to enter a key, reactivate, changed settings back to defaults, lose my free Media Center addon offer, etc. Annoying. That should not happen if I am keeping my settings to upgrade from a W8.1 ISO file!

Or an insect colony like ants? 13 Colonies? :P
I like that idea, but where will we put these murderers? We have room in the jails!
God has the source codes to all of us. ;)
Yes to stay updated with the technology. :P
Do you trust your original OS disk? :P

Is it me or do the local electronic stores (Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, etc.) do not sell this brand?
OmabaCare?

Good luck. They will all do it soon. Or there are no other broadband services. One could go to dial-up, satellite, etc. :P
Fox Mulder, is that you?
Maybe it will happen later.
Do HR care about master's degree too?

Yes, join the collective. Look at me now: http://zimage.com/~ant/antfarm/about/pictures/BorgAnt.jpg ... ;)
I wonder what she does these days. I assume still related to Linux/computer stuff.

Yeah, prove it for me too please.
I wonder if anyone would be interest in my ant addiction. :P
That is how I am doing it now. I record OTA to my DVR and computer. Internet for the rest.
