Just delete those $NTuninstall and $ntservicepacks if you think you will never need to uninstall those stuff. I usually nuke them after having no problems after a month of testing those hot fixes/SPs.
Then, go to Add/Remove and click on remove for those hot fixes. Windows will ask you to delete these off the list since it cannot find the files/folders to restore.
Sure, but it didn't have the cool SHODAN taunting ya.:) She would say something like this to you, "Look at you, Hacker! A pathetic creature of fragile meat and bone. What kind of pathetic creator made such a flimsy being? How dare you kind of pathetic creator made such a flimsy being? How dare you challenge a perfect, immortal machine like me? Humans! Born useless and helpless, living whether you deserve to live, dying whether you deserve to die, your only purpose in life to spawn more ridiculous animals like yourself. How can you hope to challenge me? Pathetic creature of meat and bone! How can you hope to challenge a perfect, immortal machine?"
I read that Raid isn't useful for desktop usage. How about gaming? I assume that fits under desktop usage. I never used Raud setup on my machines. I currently have four HDDs in the gaming box as separate drives. I hate the idea of having one drive fail and losing everything as Raid 0 setup.
I bought UT2004 recently on DVD because of Alien Swarm and Red Orchestra mods. I didn't care about its regular UT2004 game. The playable demo didn't impressed me except the pretty graphics. The mods were the big stars for me.
I hope the same is for DOOM 3 for mod support. I would love to see Aliens-type of game with DOOM 3 engine and with co-operative play. How about System Shock 2 type of game? I loved that game! It was scary.
I sold Quake 3 Arena a few days ago and uninstalled Half-Life a few months ago because it was time to leave their engines and their mods.
I use VirtualPC in MacOS X 10.2.8 on a PowerBook G4 (1 Ghz; 15"; 512 MB of RAM), and it is a slower than VMware v3.2.0 (P3 1 Ghz; 512 MB of RAM; Windows 2000 host) and v4.x (Windows XP Home host; P4 3 Ghz; 512 MB of RAM). I used Windows 2000 SP4 as guest OS' with about 128 MB of RAM. VMware beats in loading, GUI drawings, and everything else.
I am planning to upgrade from my aging Athlon XP 2200+ CPU after September 2004. I have not decided which brand and speed to get for CPU. I am into gaming like DOOM 3, Far Cry, etc.
Should I go AMD Athlon64 or Intel P4? I heard P4 Prescott CPUs have issues like heat which is bad because my room can get up to 85 degrees(F) during heat waves. Any recommendations welcomed.:)
everyone and everything else can be annoying too. You can't get really get away from annoyances. It's a part of life. Even right now, my computer fan is annoying me!:(
Should be in c:\winnt\ or whatever your Windows 2000 folder/directory is.

Name the mascot, winkydink!

I bought BF1942 for its game mostly, but I was surprised to see mods coming out like Forgotten Hope, Battlefield Pirates, Desert Combat, Galactic Conquest, etc.

See its home page.

:)
VirtualPC seems to dislike Windows Updates in my Windows 2000 SP4. Sometimes blue screens after updating and required reboots and updates failing to install.
Also, VMware can do a lot more OS' than VirtualPC!
Thanks. I am still going to keep my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AIW (128 MB) video card. I am keeping my old three IDE HDDs, PS/2 mouse, etc.
Isn't Pentium-M going to be very expensive? I do not buy the newest stuff out there because of 1) price 2) unknown how good the hardware is.

Also, there is an Easter Egg in the trailer if you remember the original DOOM series.
I used to surf the Web in Netscape, IE, and Mozilla without images downloaded. I can only get up to 3 KB/sec during dial-up days.
Not bad! It will probably be better than Alien vs. Predator movie!
direct link. I assume it is the same.
Oops, #5 is Eve of Destruction. Note the time I posted it. Way too late. Sorry. Thanks for catching that.
Agreed on this mod. This is an excellent one too. I can't go back to vanilla BF1942 anymore because of this mod.
I'd rank these BF1942 from top to least favorites in my HDD:
1. Forgotten Hope
2. Desert Combat
3. BF:Pirates
4. Galactic Conquest
5. BF:Pirates
GameSpy has a funny article about this neat mod. It even made fun of the poor chickens that was on the news earlier in the week. :)

Chairboy should be on American Idol. He might be the next William Hung! ;)
Chairboy: I don't want to hear your singing, man! ;)
At my workplaces (former and current), I noticed guys are usually into trance and dance genres. Even my current geeky boss is into them!
"Please don't make it suck!" or something like that. :)
Watch that during the downtime if you can. Of course for me, I don't have cable/satellite TV. So feh! :(
Also, it exists on DVD and VHS tape (ew). I am borrowing it from my boss at work. I was impressed by its ratings and reviews. :)
/. story. Nice timing for me. ;)
I hope to start watching the miniseries this weekend. I didn't know it was 35th anniversary until I read
