Not quite, because you get a really condensed version of the complete story and not just the summary.
Slightly related.. check out movie-a-minute if you havent already. Now _thats_ condensing.
Whats really the point of this? You miss out on all the small jokes and general expressions.. So what if you understand the story... you get to see zero character development. This is somewhat like watching only recaps. There is no dept, so it will probably kill the show.
(If I have access to the source code to Outlook Express email for Windows and I change the screen colors and default fonts, some of the wording and dialog boxes, and put the folder list on the right instead of the left, I can't run around selling it as a new email product called "MailMaster 5000 Pro".)
I don't understand why people want a browser that has a POP and NEWS client built in? If I want to use
POP I use my POP client (not outhouse). If I want to use NNTP I use a NEWS client.
I, for one use
gmane with thunderbird. It funnels mailing lists into news groups. It is a bidirectional mail-to-news gateway. That way I never run out of limited space provided by my mail server. And I dont have to download the ml messages.
There's only one problem:
No one actually uses it!
Recently on my search for a yahoo/msn voice/video compatibility on linux search (gaim-vv wouldnt compile) I found gyachE.. but anyway, that got me thinking... If ALL the opensource and free im clients would integrate H.323 protocol (jabber, gaim, trillian just to name few and more popular) everyone would benifit.. except maybe the proprietary im protocols, but thats the whole point. Anyone know why its not done already?
I will tell you how it works in 4 weeks when it is done emerging...
I know it is supposed to be a joke but just to clear some air.. you can very well install gentoo using the 3rd stage and grp. You can then emerge -uD world to get everything recompiled. Atleast this way you are not forced to watch the compile output scroll by in a tty and you can surf the net chat on irc or whatever you do normally, while the system is compiling.
You end up recompiling the whole system anyway, so whats the point in doing it the bootstrap way when you can just upgrade your system while watching pretty widgets?
Sure there will be increase in jobs in those rural areas.. but wouldnt the standard of living drop reasonably too? For businesses to move small jobs to rural areas it has to cost as low as moving them to india or other developing countries. The wages they give against the amount of work is incredibly low. I cant see how this is a positive step for local economy.
Plus I'hd rather have india take all those jobs. Everyone needs a chance to grow and taking away already established jobs from india is a severe backlash to its economy.
Actually the word is 'neocon'.. the term 'conservative' lost its meaning ages ago since a conservative would most likely oppose the patriot act. It goes against their values that gov. should have very little control over their life.
Here's a better idea: STOP REGULATING BUSINESSES TO DEATH! VoIP doesn't need regulation. This is nothing more than a cheap attempt by POTS providers to secure their cash cow by regulating the competition to death.
The regulations arent just about money, they are also about control. Once you start controlling information, you become extremely powerful. I bet agencies like mpaa and riaa are really pissed that internet had very little government control to begin with.. and they are really trying to change that whether its really working or not.
Can't you do that by setting things up to send items by email every time there's a new item posted? Or even by UseNet to a moderated group? What does RSS do that's new?
First off, you dont need to delete all the email once the 'expire'. Secondly firefox's live bookmarks are way too cool to be compaired with running an email client and switching between that and the browser. Thirdly, what you suggested is just another way of doing it and what difference would that make?
So what is the point of getting updates via email when you can just use live bookmarks from within browser, for example. Plus RSS are really valuable because they can and are integrated within various news feed sites like google news. Thats the strongest point of RSS feeds.
An exit-door procedure at 30.000 feet. Mm-hmm. The illusion of safety.

Aren't _all_ sales person?
Heh... this one time, I just started whistling GnR and a notice came out of my ass.

Almost 10 years old. It has to be some kind of record.
I am modding the story off topic!

IE already has that feature.. Just use it for 20 mins and you get all sorts of porn dialers.
Oh.. Maybe that explains IE's 92% market share!

They will start scrubbing out that annoying patch behind the commode thats always hard to reach.
That is right from the article.
