It would probably sound like Taco The Wonder Dog's music. Or rather as he calls himself TAOC TEH WODNER DOG!!!!1111 Thanks to him, Mickey Mouse plastic guitars can be considered musical instruments.
Sorry, no link, he decided to move entirely to jamhandy.com, which is one of his sideprojects. It was funny as hell while it lasted.
I believe Warcraft already had that feature. You know, the one where you'd try to flank the enemy, but because your troops think your orders are stupid, they instead find a really good shortcut that involves going in head-on single file towards a large number of enemies.
I like the way Xine is evolving so far. Tt's a lot harder to develop the backend than it is to make a frontend, which is really where the individual user's preference lies, and there's really no need to reinvent the wheel if the backend works.
That being said, I still have yet to see Xine play WMV9 video properly, as well as many Real codecs. WMV9 as a system plays, but you only get audio without video due to the lack of the video codec. Plus, there's the thing with RealPlayer videos playing at the wrong framerate. This is my experience on Mandrake 9.1, 9.2, 10.0 and SuSE 9.1 Personal (with third party xinelib package installed to be able to play anything that isn't an MPEG). Hope things improve. I think WMV9 playback would be a small breakthrough.

One can only wonder how many graffiti artists were lined up for the opening of the bridge to spraypaint "FP, bitches!!!111"
Bart: When I'm feeling low, you know what cheers me up? Rod: Kindness? Bart: Oooh, tough room. Video games! Whaddyagot? (He reaches to the bookshelf and picks up a copy of "Billy Graham's Bible Blasters," and they begin to play.) Rod: Keep firing! Convert the heathens! (A series of "heathens" crosses the video screen as a "Bible gun" fires Bibles at them. When a "heathen" is hit, he turns into a conservatively dressed man with a halo.) Bart: Got him! Rod: No, you just winged him and made him a Unitarian. Todd: Look out, Bart! A gentle Baha'i! (Bart zaps the Baha'i, turning him into another suit with a halo). Bart: All right! Full conversion!
Which brings up another point. If Linux ever sees a good share of the desktop market, could Konqueror become a risk since they are following the same bad idea of having the file browser also be the web browser?
I think what they're getting at is if the look of a game changes the feel of it. I think it does. For some reason, aiming a weapon in an FPS feels different when you change the crosshair, even if you change nothing else. That's one example.
I guess there should be some satisfaction in the sense that a somewhat mainstream new source is recommending using alternative browsers.
Wasn't there a discussion a while back about CNN only recommending to keep virus definitions up to date without a mention of Mozilla, Opera, or others?
This guy doesn't sound much better in a pinch than Peter Griffin:
Psych ward clerk: "What's your name, sir?" Peter: "Umm.....Pee.....ter.............Griffin.....damn! "
Bonus Simpsons quote: Homer at Post Office (trying to disguise voice): "Hello, my name is Mr. Burns. I believe you have a letter for me" Post Office employee: "Ok, what's your first name?" Homer (smugly): "I don't know!
What about the guy who robbed the convenience store and the clerk lady says, "I don't think you look old enough to be robbing a store, young man. I need to see some identification."
So the guy pulls out his driver's license and shows it to her. Haha.
HP installs a crapflood of memory resident programs to handle even the most mundane tasks that could easily be handled at runtime.
I'm going to have to agree with you on the driver issue. I had to find a driver for a printer/scanner/fax machine device from the mid 90s and the driver was 35 MB. This was five years ago, it probably equates to something like 100+ MB now in terms of bloat.
That and the fact that I had to put Windows 2000 on an HP laptop that only had Windows XP drivers for its ATI Mobility card makes me prefer HP less (there were no reference drivers for Mobility cards). Not good for people who buy these things for an office that uses something other than XP.
As those of us who lived through it can attest to, the era of classic retro games was the early to mid-80's.
Yeah, I probably should have focused on that time period. Most of the negative press about video games I saw seemed to be around the early 90s. It should be noted that my first gaming memories are from an Atari 2600 and Texas Instruments Ti-99/4A. I was born in '81, so, yeah, still not that old.
Well how about music from spam?

The NPC's will refuse to take stupid orders

From article:
Microsoft was ordered to unbundle the software within 90 days - that deadline runs out on Monday.
Paraphrasing:
EU: "You must unbundle the software in 90 days"
Microsoft: "Is it ok if I decide to not do it instead of doing it?"
EU: "Ok!"
Sometimes, court rulings should be just that.

In order for Christian games to skyrocket, they're going to have to do better than this:
Super 3D Noah's Ark
The Wolfenstein 3D engine can be used for good!
(Sorry if this turns out to be a double post, the first one hasn't seemed to appear within five minutes)
Christian games will have to do better than this to skyrocket:
Super 3D Noah's Ark
Other Wisdom Tree games
Yes, this is what we have to benefit from Christian gaming community. The Wolfenstein engine can be used for good!

Hmm... -21
Does that mean +21 were flown into the country?
That's why i always watch Fox news with a bucked of popcorn

What does a competent programmer do? He writes a Perl script to do it.
Which brings us to our favorite t-shirt:
"Shut up or I'll replace you with a short Perl script!" (Paraphrased?)

Fry playing space invaders:
Fry: "Oh no! I can never get get the last ship"

Haven't tried it myself, but it might be worth a shot:

Looks kinda spyware-risky, but if you're really looking for a clone, there you go. Probably worthwhile to find the arcade version and emulate it.
