Yes, Abortion is illegal in Ireland. It's also illegal in Malta BTW. However it is not against the law to distribute information about abortion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_Ireland
A cert signed by a CA is a guarantee against Man in the middle attaks. If site X always uses self signed certs, then I have no way of knowing if I am the victim of a MITM attack
The problem isn't the price. As the article says, the GPLv3: "prohibits Apple from distributing a GPLv3-licensed iPhone application without supplying the signing keys necessary to make modified versions of the application run, too."
In order to distrubute it on iTunes, Apple would have to give out the master key they use to sign the application. Can you see Apple doing that?
Nope. It's easier than that. If I have a domain example.com, then I just need to point piratebay.example.com to the pirate bay. Then people can type in piratebay.example.com into their web browser and voilà, it's the pirate bay. This is advantagous because it means thousands of people all over the world can do it.
There was something similar in the novel Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. There were large electro magnets in the door frames. When the cops came to carry the disks out of the office, they were wiped passing through the doors.
Some nations, eg Ireland, use a much more complicated voting system called 'Proportial Representation' where you vote for many candidates in order of prefereces. People get struck off, votes get transfered, etc etc. It can actually take a day to count all the votes and do all the vote transfers
I do. I work as a network engineer/web developer/a bot of everything for an ISP. We use Linux for all ISP stuff and I have only Ubuntu on my desktop. The only issues is I have to keep telling everyone to send spreadsheets as CSV, but they've learned to tolerate us techies by now.:)
A friend of mine works in a popular video game store here in Ireland. A fews since the PS3 launch and they still have PS3s on the shelves.
However they have been constantly sold out of wiis since it came out months ago. Any wii shipment is sold out the day it comes in.
They can legally not hire you because of your religion? In the European Union, that's very illegal.

Yeah, we're making a Hackerspace in Dublin, Ireland
Eh no. You can use GtkPod on Linux to transfer songs to an iPod.
It is Microsofts fault for not making itself combatible with 3rd party things.
The first ubuntu release, 4.10 was warty warthog. there never was an 'a' release
Ireland is different nation from the United Kingdom. Ireland is not as europhobic as the UK. We even use the Euro and everything

More hybrids? Great. :) I've no problem with fuel efficent hyprid SUVs
The success of the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii has shown that unique and distinct controllers are not a hindrenace,
The UK invaded a bunch of countries and then got really upset when all those people followed them home.
In ireland and the UK 'xerox' definitly refers to the brand. We have 'photocopying' for the verb.
You can make a horror film without killing someone. In order to make a child porno film, you have to sexually abuse a child.

Confirmed for me. Mine's at 4.3GB. I don't have IMAP on my account yet.
i.e. those who use the most bandwidth will pay more or have a higher quality of service? That sounds fine to me.
I've done some of this for Edubuntu CDs: http://blog.technomancy.org/2007/04/09/automating- an-edubuntu-install-cd/
PGP clearly deals with this. Think about message signing. You can see the plain text and the signature.
One of the samples on the google cache seems to be a midget gangbang scene...
