. OBSD's ONLY claim to fame is that it's the most secure OUT OF THE BOX.

If this is true, and I really have no idea if it is, then I'd say that OBSD is a fairly obvious choice for superior software, at least for Joe Blow, who is the largest demographic out there. Joe doesn't want to have to install and then configure for hours on end. Hell, he'd like to not even install, but if he has to then just installing and then you're secure is going to be much better from his point of view than any other way. This is also a boon to computer construction companies like Dell. They don't want to have to spend hours configuring a secure system for their customers, and they currently don't, so if they could just get out of the box that way they'd love it. I'd say that OBSD would have a much larger commercial appeal than Linux if it was well known, but you've never had fun until you tried to explain to a CIO why a MS product is NOT always the answer, much less trying to get them to go with some OS they have never even heard of.

So, the legislature of a state decides that

God has commanded people (Prophets) to practice Mormonism before, (read the Old Testament sometime) for certain situations. Mormonism is wrong today. Mormonism is also an evil that the whole world would be better off without. (back to the topic at hand).

    • it is extremely easy for its ISPs to implement an *optional* filth screen for their customers.
    • The society would be better off without it

So, where are the negative consequences of this action? As far as I can see, there are none. Whose rights are being violated? The Church Of Jesus Chirst and Latter Day Saints? Please

And, since you have clearly not experienced it as a working adult, did your parents live in a run-down home with (a) dead-end job(s)?

So what if they have or haven't? This makes no difference. There is nothing noble about poverty. You can form a the same kind of world view no matter what type of background you come from.

Have you ever experienced real poverty of any sort? I'd gauge it at unlikely with the immature world-view you hold.

Once again, so what if he has or hasn't? This has no bearing on the topic. TV's and cars are not neccessary to live. It sucks to be poor, but you know, any adult has the oppurtunity to change his or her life, and has to live with the choices they have made. It may not be an easy row to hoe, but the chances are there. It is their own fault if they don't take them.
