wasn't the POINT of the internet to be able to link anywhere at any time?/. has bashed sites before for there linking policies and legal action over "deeplinking", so whats the problem with this instance?
what if this could be integrated into a small plugin for your browser(or any program) of choice, that would then generate its own dictionary in your language.
would probably help with the problem of either downloading a small, incomplete dictionary, a dictionary with errors, or a massive dictionary file.
400 watts of overhead? isn't that absolutely terrible efficiency? i mean pc power and cooling released a 800w one that drew about 950 watts from the socket(i think it got/.'ed too) but thats a 150 watt diffrence, not a 400watt diffrence..
i have an asus P4P-800e deluxe motherboard, and it runs stock at a 808mhz fsb, now thats a farely old mobo, 865pe chipset. from about 2002.
i always just thought it was just that the timing crystals/chips they were using were cheap and inaccurate, but i guess not. or maybe this is just the old "never attribute to malice what can be easily attributed to lazyness"
ok, they can cram a ton of data on a tiny platter, now why not go back to 5 1/2 desktop drives? if they made full height 5 1/2 drives, they could fit arround 2.8tb in one drive. how is this a bad idea?
actually, seagate's "U" series still has 20gb drives, and im farely sure western digital still sells them too. they wont be in your local $COMPUMART on the front shelf, but most online stores still sell them if you know how to use the search function:P
actually, more like a huge market for used NIC's/routers

i dont get all the love for kozmo, its like saying "and i want a perpeptual motion machine that makes infinite money too!, AND A PONEY."
there buisness model was fatally flawed, they didnt make any proffit because they basically sold everything at what it cost them, and didnt charge shipping.
Yet no word on the point of view (that I assume was never taught in US schools) that the bombing was unnecessary, as Japan was about to surrender, the wheels were in motion but accidental/intentional communication problems prevented that from happening before the bombs were dropped.
ive seen quite a few documentaries about hiroshima, and read a moderate ammount about it. and what i'd like to ask YOU, is "yes, but did they know they were about to surrender at the time?" it certainly doesn't seem like they could have known.
ive heard the same said about public transportation a few times, and im sure it was said about the power system(which is municipal, at least in some areas)
actually, cafe ladro in seattle has this exact system, you get 65 minutes for a $3 purchase, and like 90 for a $5+ one. it works great at keeping to many people from just camping in there
who thinks this just looks like a black IBM model M?
but seriously, you could get one of those(compleate with real capacitance keyswitches) and a can of whatever color makes you happy spraypaint for about $15 if you can find a model m at a computer recycling place, which at least for me.. wasnt hard. and for $80, you could get a NEW model m, here. the basic model is only $50 there, and im sure even ebay could outdo that for a very lightly used or new one. just makes this letterless keyboard seem like a ripoff to me..
but truly lazy people will always find a way to be lazy. they'll just pick up the shoes and shake them, or somesuch. to make it think they walked. as with previous idea's like this, its worthless if its even semi-easily trickable
At least late last year, intel still sold motherboards that were *just* motherboards. i think they also had models that had nothing built in besides an NIC also.
here
should withstand a decent slashdotting..

probably just cut a huge chunk of potential users out there..

owell, its probably goatse now, you guys should just put (NSFW) after all wikipedia links.
actually, they made the voodoo 5 6000 also :) . 4 gpu's, on one card. the early models had an external power brick like a laptop

o wait, this is the goverment, nevermind
since i thought /. was anti censorship, and yet every 10 seconds or so if i refresh the page, its back to 0 or 1 comments even with people posting more.
but it seems to be working perfectly fine as it is, why fuck with it?
more than you would want to pay for a chip+adaptor
you give the thumbs up to one marketer, and they just sell your information to tons of other ones?
what guarantee do they provide that this is safe?
ive heard the same said about public transportation a few times, and im sure it was said about the power system(which is municipal, at least in some areas)
that would seem like something that should have been mentioned...

Are they going to sue slashdot?
