"Please keep in mind that WoW is not balanced around one on one PvP. The developers envision the Warlock as a class that is very powerful at losing in PvP, and very important for select encounters in Molten Core. For the most part, they are satisfied with your ability to fill this role. "
WoW is my first mmorpg, but aside from hitting lvl 60 and collecting all your set gear, I don't think the endgame is nonexistant. I'd say that less than half of all end game guilds (that is, guilds capable of and actively raiding lvl 60 instances regularly) on any given server have cleared all of MC, including Ragnaros. Then beyond that, there's BWL, where there's still just so much to be discovered strategy-wise. Meanwhile, there's the challenge of conquering outdoor raid bosses (this is more of a challenge on PvP servers than normal servers!:o), and of course, earning rank in battlegrounds.
So...there's an end game, you just need to be in a fairly active guild to experience much of it.:o)
on my server (frostwolf), at least, they tried to compensate for the bugginess and downtime by giving us a free week on top of what we've already paid for - doesn't totally make up for it, but at least they're trying...
well...like it or not, part of what we're paying for is the trendiness of the product. just depends on whether or not you think trendiness is worth the higher price tag, and personally, i think it is.
No offense to anyone, but my personal pet peeve recently has been people who appear to be foreigners who are driving around in big cities and clearly do not know the rules of the road. Its wayyyy too easy to get a driver's license in California.:(

how does this ruin the economy any more than the gold farmers selling WoW gold on ebay?
that's a pretty lonely, low-pop server imo :(
you sound creepy imo.
HS to grad school is a pretty wide range, so i can only assume that you're older than all of them.
